I think this is the same Sprint seen at a meeting in Canada. Same rockets and Sprint decal on the fins.

Regarding air in the filters, I found after repeated flameouts any time I worked on, or had a new fuel system, that Jetcat filters, which are quite big in diameter, have to be mounted vertical with the top side towards the turbine, so all air is gone during the first startups. From then on it's OK as they're totally full of fuel, but if you have to fool around with the fuel system and get air in it, you have to have it vertical again to get rid of any air. Good practice for deadstick landings but a real pain till I worked out what caused it!

Do you have any information that you can share with us regarding the NANO Boomerang?.....After seeing it at Florida Jets i was very impressed with it.....

Final Nano test flights were completed last week ............Very satisfactory! The order to start production has gone in and the first batch will be on their way early in the new year. This reply should really be posted on the Nano thread, (it will be in five minutes) but here's a drawing of the sport version.
No doubt some will say it's the same as all the others, but a good design is a good design whatever size it comes in, so I stick with it. It still took me months to tweak it till it flew right in the smaller size. But..........If it aint broke, don't fix it!

I know that the Sprint is an ARF, but with work and the kids getting older now, I am about to finish my 3 month ARF build. Pretty sad!
One of the final things remaining that I must do is hook up the nose gear steering. I used to always use some fine braided steel cable that was coated with plastic. My feeble brain has NO idea where I got it. If I have any left, I cannot find it in my messy garage. I tried to find it at a local hardware store, Lowe's & Walmart with no success. The only stuff that I find is way too big. Anyone have a clue as to where I might obtain something like this fast? Or what else are folks using successfully?

i think the plastic coated cable you're refering to is a Prather product....i'm out of it also....it does work great for sterring cables though.....

well that sucks . I would think by now someone would have come up with a tiller arm setup for the newer nose gear so you wouldn't have to deal with stone age setups like pull pull cables . I have spring air gear in mine that uses an arm to steer with and I didn't even have to spend 600.00 to get it. makes you wonder where all the money goes. surly not in R&D.

50 ounce tank fits perfect and gives between 5 & 6 minutes on the P60 depending on your throttle stick and still leaves a safety "overshoot & go around again" margin.
60" span, prototypes dry weights were from 10lb 2 ounces to 11lbs 8 ounces depending on the turbine used.

i don't know what kind of runway your flying off there's got to be at least 40 landings on grass runways with my intro and it works perfect every time.

Success! Academy had it.
I bought Sevalon Nylon Coated Kink Resistant (I was not planning on getting kinky with it anyways, but I'll ask the wife later, just in case!) 40 lb & 60 lb. The 40 lb looks a bit small, but I'll likely try it. The 60 lb is more like what I have traditionally used. I have enough now for the rest of my life (as long as I don't loose it in my garage).

My son Matt and I decided to see wht the JetCat P-70 in my Boomerang Sprint looked like running at night....
The Pics show it during acceleration...........then it cools, in the full speed blast, to a nice red-blue glow in the burner.

This engine has just under 9 hours of run time and runs real sweet!
We did learn, you have to glue the marshmellows to the stick....LOL !
