Great Hawg doings guys, we just gotta plan a hawg fest at some mutual hawg lot for an all around hawg show. David and Joe let me know if I can provide anything to get your permanent tusk ready for Fresno to hit a trifecta with Billy?

The Movie from the Sat. 8/30/08 Hawgfest at Buttonwillow has been posted to the California Jets website.
Go to [link=http://www.ca-jets.com]www.ca-jets.com[/link] and click "enter" on the splash page.
Then click on the "Debrief" button. Then "Movies button.
At the bottom of the "Theater" page is a link to the "Video Vault" Click it.
Then click on the "Jet Movies" theater link and it's the movie at the top of the list/theater.
Sorry for the runaround, but you have to work for your supper. Sign the Visitors Logbook while you're there.
Enjoy,
PR

Houdy Hawg pilots ,
Wow, what a Saturday that was. Congratulations to Joe McBride and David Searles for their successful first Hawg test flights.
What a sight that was, seeing the Captain of the Hawgs Billy Edwards leading the pack down the runway ...man that was HOT.
Paul called me a few days before to ask me to come along and shoot and I'm glad I did. Despite the intense heat, you guys got it done.
Great edit Paul (you did that fast too). You da Man! No better gang to go into the oven with.
I'm in the final stages with "The Willow '08". I'll post in a couple of weeks.

Always happy to help a guy with your work ethic to rack up some time on the cam and get some valuable experience on the rig.
Looking forward to working on many, many more projects together. Especially the ones that actually pay in something other than satisfaction

The guys are going to enjoy you're take on CA Jets '08. You've got some fine footage in there, and for being relatively new to the whole Final Cut experience, have got a great piece to roll out.
You're doing it right bro, from your attitude to your equipment investment. Plus you're such a darn good guy. Fun having you along.

Now, most of us - when we are trying to shoot video etc. - tend to be opportunistic and just video whatever is happening. Maybe we occasionally ask for a low pass or something, but that's about the extent of our "planning".
Paul gets those kind of shots too, but on the other hand he really works for some of his shots. He's already got some idea in mind and he's out there directing the action to maximise the finished product.

Here, Paul gives the cast their instructions about staring up and interacting with "the big head that's up in the sky over your right shoulder".
Big D looks on kinda dubiously, probably thinking "the heat has finally gotten to you, Paul!"

Nervertheless, hoping that it's not heat that got to Paul, but that he's got some "good S**t" to share with everyone, Dave, Joe and Billy dutifully stand up in turn and wave to the big empty sky.
The results, which Paul had already seen in that mind of his but which we were confuddeled about, can be seen in the video : http://www.rcuniverse.com/forum/m_7910733/tm.htm

Very much fun listening to your very accurate account Gordon.
I really enjoy the small, specific gatherings with willing participants.
Big gatherings with lots of stuff to shoot are fun. But being able to develop specific shots and then execute them allows planning a story, as opposed to shoot what's happening and build a story from it later.
It helps when the talent is willing, and, in 105Ëš heat, does it in one take.
Thanks for taking and sharing the pics.
Cut. Print. That's a wrap.
