We had some spare time today before I fly home so my host decided to take me to his works and show me around one of the offices!!
Its not everyday that I get to have a sit and a play about in one of these!! What a piece of art this car is! Like most I have seen the photos but sat inside it you realize these things are just amazing pieces of engineering and styling.

I hope you guys dont mind but there are a few non jet related photos
This was just one tiny part of the store room of Al Ghanim automotive. A few of the Lambos I saw were here under cover while they built a all new showroom facility. Being a bit of a car fan ( Especially Lamborghini ) This was a real eye opener!!!!!

I have always loved the Gallardo and was blown away by the super Legera which had almost as much carbon as the koenigsegg! but the all new 560-4 was just gorgeous.

Its funny, but in the UK an Audi R8 or RS4/6 is a pretty rare site so you sort of pay attention. Well for some reason after the lambos I was in a daze and just floated by the 12 or so R8s in and around the facility, not to mention the RS4 RS6 and handfull of exclusive Audi cars dotted about the place. [:@]
After a spot of lunch by the sea ( That photo of the huge boat is in fact the two restaurants at my hotel ) I was asked if I like boats.
I havr to say that I have never really been a big fan. To me they never really seem to have the same sense of speed as cars. Well that was until I saw the custom cigarette racer with with big block chevi's

Orange interior!!!! Jesus, thats nearly as bad as the green Reaction you have planned. Sorry to the owners of the lambo with the Orange interior.

Sadly, It aint mine. I was fortunate to be asked to go and collect it from Derby the other week for my brother, I did have it a few weeks, and couldnt stop drooling, got some really serious bad looks down at Asda though, when i took my mate to collect some supplies.

Regards

Peter

P.S

If i knew you were such a Lambo fan, I would have called into your shop. However I do have it at my disposal, so you never know, I may one day be passing Milton Keynes!!

Trust me, I would never have thought orange leather either, but it seems to be the done thing in the Al Ghanim fleet and I have to say it looks really good ( Especially in the individual Audi Q7)
Yeah I have always been in love with Lambos. I promised myself a Diablo by the time I was 30 but saw sense and bought a new house instead! Now my sights are set on a 560-4 or a super Legera by the time I am 40 , so might have to sell a few more toys.
If you are ever around pop in weather its in lambo or not! Oh and less of it on the green reaction! [>:] Guess what colour my Lambo will be when I get it!

Ali, you went to Kuwait, but did not visit us flyers in Dubai.
Love it here, bit better then flying at North Weald or the Hertford clubs I belonged to previously.

Thats too true Darryl.
Sorry I didnt pop over, we did intend to but got so busy at the field. I am due back on February 5th, I think with the sole intention to coming out to Dubai for an event. Rasheed is talking about an event out your way at that time which the Kuwaiti guys are intetersted in coming to.

Hi Q8,

Yes, gear works fine now. I also have 3 large tanks and I pump to 130psi. I always cycle the gear once on the ground before i start the turbine and then pump back up to 130psi. This ensures all my airlines are primed with air so when I take off I know there is no big delay with the system being primed. This is caused by the valves I use dumping all the air in the airlines when the RX is switched off.

I'm thinking of more power and bigger tanks.

What turbine is in yours? Do you have a picture of your tank setup too??

Cheers
Mark

Hi Ali.
I Have not heard of any events going on here in Dubai.
I am going to the jet flying field on saturday to test fly my baby boomerang, so will enquire there.
Perhaps Rasheed can supply me with some details, it would be nice to go to or even get involved with.

By the way it is absolutaley peeing down here at the moment, with thunderstorms, hopefully it will clear up so I can contnue my every single weekend flying schedule

Best regards

Darryl

Hi mark

im flying with a jetcat P-180 and i added another fuel tank 3.8L on top of the main fuel tank.i need a longer flying time. because of the p-180 fuel consumption. i used the alan boomerang fuel tank as an extra tank. which gave me 11 mnt's of flying time and about 3 more mnt's for go around and emergency.
here is the thread with the tank installation pics.

Thanks Hasan.

I definately need more fuel to start with. I have the timer set at 6mins with my Booster 160 and that gives enough for 1 go around so I need to get the first approach right or it gets risky!

Trouble is, at 44lbs dry and with an additional fuel tank, probably around 52lbs wet, the Booster will struggle with 'only' 35lbs thrust.

I see a p180 or p200 being delivered sooner rather than later!!

Rgds,
Mark

i think the p-180 is a perfect choice for the skygate hawk. fly's realy scale.
but if you want more power go for the p-200 .but again you'll face flying time issues because of the p-200 fuel consumption.

best regards

I can vouch for how well Hasan's set up works! 180 Is perfect power for this model and he has loads of fuel, almost too much!
Darryl.. Stop rubbing it in
