Hello JetFans
I sold an old Tom Cook F4 about 10 years ago, who sold it to another friend and on and on. During this time the manual was lost.
Is there someone that flew the JMP F4 please provide me with the CG ,Stab, aileron, flap and rubber setting. Highly appreciated
Thanks

Gary,
Just for your information the full size Phantom has only two positions on flaps. They are 30 degrees and 60 degrees. there is no other settings and the flaps move abruptly.
Good luck on your F-4 endeavors.

Gary,
Yes, 30 and 60 degrees are what we recommend on our Phantom. You get good roll component lock-up for approaches with 60 degrees. On the full-size they used 30 degrees for takeoff; 60 degrees for cat shots and landings. I normally don't use any flap for takeoffs, but do what is comfortable for your F-4.

The numbers given above are correct and are right out of the book.......BUT
THAT'S DRY WITH THE GEAR UP ( nose gear swings aft) AND
the original had twin 20 oz tanks up even with the inlets and up under the back side of the cockpit. So move the CG forward for turbine use. My best guess would be 41 inches from the nose "dry" Gear up,
with saddle tanks positioned as stated below.
A good friend with a good pilot missed that little factiod when setting up there Cook F-4.
They put the kidney shaped kevlar fuel cells right alongside the turbine, centered right at the 43/..1/2 mark, to rid itself of any CG change infight, (good thinking there)..... BUT (the original had twin 20 oz tanks up even with the inlets and up under the back side of the cockpit.CG really moved forward when wet.)
it took off with a obvious aft cg , and crashed(no fireball).

I am curious about the JMP F4.What is the WS & Length of this puppy? and I assume it is a twin fan jet ,if flown on DF that is,I know most of you jetsters say nooo to a fan F4,but after seeing the malchiones(sp chk.?) F4 fly -they sound awesome on twin fan power & are impresively fast I must say.How is the flight worthiness/flight characteristics over say a YA F4? I would like to sell my yellow F4 & get a bigger one & I cant afford BV's so it comes down to the JMP .And lastly anyone have one they would like to sell??
thanks Steve

You know the F-4 the Malchione's fly is a turbine, right? I think it has a RAM 1000 in it.
