Default Tail pipe help

Hi guys, heres the tail pipe out of my Adjets Scorpion. It has a few kink type marks inside as you can see. The largest is about 20mm long.

It has no discolouration. The seam is still welded tight.

Do you think it is safe and if not, best place to get one?

Well the answer will probably depend on the following informations: how did these kinks appear ? Were they here originally ?

If the seam is welded tight and there is no decoloration from the inside then two of the most important factors for the pipe strength are retained:
.The structural integrity
.The material stiffness

Molo,

Did you use the pipe from Aviation Design or something else?

I haven't seen anything like that on mine, however, I only have about 10 flights on my Scorpion so far.

Thanks for the replies. Yes it is the Adjets pipe. I don't remember there being any marks in the pipe from new.

The pipe is rumpled inside. I guess I will just had to monitor and replace if it gets any worse.

Thanks for the info.

Hi ; In my opinion you have had an overtemp situation ; IE: hot start or tailcone fire.

Since you said the integrity of the tailcone is still there you could probably fly it with not problem but will most likely have a reduced thrust rating.

Iwould also suggest monitoring it after every flight or run while ordering a new tailcone.

Good luck.

I with you agree!
I by a trade - the metallurgist. And I often face a problem Chinese and Indian (heat resisting a steel), a problem in chemical structure of metal! In these countries apply in "a chrome" place apply "manganese" and there are problems with pipes! Is a basic problem! Who-be did the chemical analysis of the Chinese pipes?????? I am assured - was not present!
The second problem this a thickness of a material...
And the third problem is a spot welding! For models I do pipes on new technology, an integral welded seam of laser welding! It is very strong and reliable!
And for the information: I apply a military material which is easier usual on 10 %!
If qualitative and good pipes are necessary to you, please contact with me!
P.S It is impossible to use this pipe long, in the future your pipe will burn through! It is impossible!!!!!!!! I speak to you as the expert!

Here's another photo. I thought the deformation was only limited to where the spacer was between the pipes.

After closer inspection there is a kink further back and a slight discolouration in there.

Might be safer to get a new one I think!
