Step outside for a second.

Hey, we are all grown men playing with toy airplanes!! [8D]

Is this BS really required? That was not a question.

I would still record the phone calls.

They may not have any legal significance but I bet BVM and JR wouldn't mind hearing them.
Those reps are, after all, the image of the companies they represent to those that they interact with.

It amazes me that any company in todays market would act as if customers were a dime a dozen and their god given right.
Exactly! Then post it here for everyone to hear... [:-] I'd bet something would happen quick then..

You know Gordo, I met Dustin once and he's a super nice guy. He came and heckled me on my Ultra B build (but who didn't! LOL ) and it was all in good fun.

My point: there are BVM dudes that are nice, down to earth, take a joke and give a joke, kind of guys.
Yup - that's exactly the point I was making. There are still a whole bunch of great BV rep's, whose work is being undone by guys like this.

In a conversation I had with BV some time ago, he told me that California and Florida were the two 'absolutely crucial' states for him, that he would be in real trouble if he lost significant sales in either, and that his careful choice of rep's reflected this fact.

Well, that was back in the days when we had a whole bunch of great BV rep's in California ... guys like Chris Huhn, John Redman, Tony Frackowiak, Harley Condra et al, who went well out of their way to show everyone that BVM rep's were class acts. Guys who would repeatedly go the extra mile for the customer, guys who didn't think that having fun was all about deliberately p*ing people off, guys who you'd be hard pressed to find anyone being upset about, guys who knew how to make newcomers (aka potential customers) feel welcome.

Then those guys all left us, and now we are left with one guy who I personally still like, but who is generally considered to be fairly stand-offish, plus two guys who seem to go well out of their way to offend people with their arrogance. It's not just BV sales that suffer either - the Fresno jet event has generated a lot of controversy, and come very close to being boycotted on at least two occasions, basically because of the arrogant attitude of 2 BVM rep's.

I personally don't understand why Uncle Bob hasn't picked some quality new blood to replace the truly great rep's he lost here, as well as doing something meaningful about the way his remaining rep's push people away from BV.

I hope he can do something to turn the tide around here.

As to what I know; a threatening phone call is a federal offense. Call the FCC and,
place a complain if have ID caller. They will take action if needed. If it's a stupid
call tell him to F- his Asssssssss.

Ron , you don't have to be woring about this kind of thrashes.

Hi Ron.

Sorry to hear about all this mess.

Hang in there buddy! I met you once breifly at Cali Jets 2009 with Mike and your too good to let this give in on you.
Its a mother going thru crap like this but its nothing to make you want to get out of the hobby.
I once did that when I was heavy in EDF jets and I regret every moment. Its not worth it.

I've figured this hobby to be very helpful in many ways especially for a guy like me who is diagnosed with cancer. I dont think its cured my illness but it sure has help me forget about my illness.
What i'm trying to say is hang in there. Leave all the mess aside and just have fun. Karma will pay its respects later to those certain individuals so just give it time.

Regards,

I knew it was just a matter of time until I was dragged into this............... Gordon, thanks for bringing up Fresno again. That helps alot.
Not representing anyone anymore..............going racing full time.
That's a load of horse hooey (trying to be family friendly here). Mark, you INSERTED yourself into this mess with your posts on the other thread and emphasized your involvement when you sent out PM's asking us all to "please let it go".

Regards,

Jim

Right then; Don't post here much (I mostly do high power EDF) but had to comment:

Justin Sands' behavior is/was disgusting and the ensuing phone threats to Ron are over the top. Yesterday I took the path of FAXING both BVM and Horizon with a copy of Justin's original "wig" post, his (non)apology, and my observation that they need to get another Rep or lose my business as a result.

Will it do any good? Who knows.....
Do I feel that BVM & Horizon at least heard directly from one modeler/consumer? Yes....

See you at the Arizona Jet Rally.

Ron: threatening calls are a serious federal offense, mostly if you
have the phone number, and record of it. You should call the FCC,
and place a complain about it.

Ron, tell him to , get a life, and some balls.....i will tell you what, me and he would be going to fist city, POPULATION 2....HANDLE IT LIKE SOME GENTLEMAN!!!! [:@]

Just my .02!!

Uhh...

I hate to break it to you, Nick, but no you wouldn't. You wouldn't be going anywhere near fist-city with this guy. See, you'd have to CATCH him first. There are at least two guys on here who've called him out on his smack-talking and invited him to settle things the old-fashioned way (Yours Truly is one of them). Results.....? You guessed it!

Ron, you're dealing with a slightly unstable Telephone Tough Guy. On the web, he'll talk more in a minute than he'll stand to in a month. The net result? A lot of bad grammar and CO-2. On the phone, he'll do the same thing. When you get down to business and say, "What are you doing RIGHT NOW? Let's meet and 'discuss' this face-to-face RIGHT NOW", he'll crawfish. I can tell you from experience that his threats and 'wolf-tickets' ain't worth a penny cuz he's got a yellow streak a mile wide. Raul De Los Reyes can tell you the same thing...

I'd advise transcribing what he said and sending it to Uncle Bob and to Peter Goldsmith at Horizon. I know Peter cares about how his Reps behave, but all he's got without your side is that other guy's side of the story. In the meantime, you can go where you want to go without the slightest concern that he'll say a word to you in person.

Thanks Paul, I'll hang in there as long as I can.

Looking forward to another trip to Cali and hang out with you guys some more.

It's interesting to know the folks out there. Gives me a chance to know who to deal with......................Thats what these forums are good for!

Hope you guys get this resolved. Its suck having to mess with issues like this. It just makes for a crappy day when we go fly airplanes.
Hang tough Cali and Arizona! One thing I like about the Cali boys and surrounding areas is that you guys stay tight................

I spoke to Bob Today He has resolved the problem. He has posted a apology on the BVM web site. Paul Bagman no longer represents BVM I have not heard anything from JR. I have e-mailed Peter Goldsmith but am waiting a response.

Well Dustin, you were right and I was wrong [X(] ... when hard push comes to violent shove, apparently BV will indeed put customers ahead of rep's.

Although I'd much rather not have seen this whole situation develop in the first place, I am glad to have been proven wrong on this point, and I give kudos to BV on his stance.

Wow! Ron, although we've never met (some day at Cali Jets), I can honestly say the "Big Baller" made the earth move today, and got Uncle Bob to drop the HAMMER!

Actually it was the actions of the Mr Bageman that forced the HAMMER to be dropped.
