SIMJET-Dk is alive and well and very busy.

The pump used on the SJ-3000 is the Hausel -ZP30020F. Does not matter which ECU you are using. (SJ-2002-D2 or GASPAR)

If I can be of fruther help, please advsie.

Regards,

Regards,
I will tell you my problem. My Simjet 3000 with Gaspar ECU is flaming out every flight (white smoke & ECU says flameout). This can be when at full power, or part power & at various times during the flight. Full power runs on the ground work perfectly. The jet is F15 & the turbine worked perfectly before in the same jet, with the same tank set up. I sent the turbine to rescue turbinen Germany for service. They fitted a new combustion chamber, bearings, fuel pump check & rebalance. It still flames out every flight. Removed all tanks, replumbed & fitted new tygon. Changed the UAT. Removed the blue screw connector at the UAT & safety wired tygon from UAT to the pump. Changed the festo fittings on the fuel solenoid. The UAT is always full after the flameout, which seemed to me to indicate an air bubble somewhere between the UAT & the turbine. Tanks are venting ok. Since I have checked everything, I can only assume the pump may somehow be be faulty, or maybe the fuel solenoid. Other than that I am stumped.

Have you tried downloading the saved data. It may tell you a lot. I have seen some strange things happen in the software where you get a eroneous blip and then a flame out. Check the data.....

RPM sensor you should be able to see this in the downloaded data.
if the magnet was overheated a problem occures most of the time at around a 100000.
the signal droppes a little and the ecu sees it as a flame out and shuts down the fuel pump.
do you see white smoke when flaming out?.

fuelpump? i had a few hausl causing problems where the pump leaked a bit and fuel goes in the collector.
causing sparking and also causing flame outs.

Thanks guys. I think I have solved the problem. Although the fuel pump was over four inches away from the ECU, I moved to eight inches away. Went to the field & had four flights & no flameouts. It seems that pump electrical noise can upset the ECU at quite a distance. Here's hoping.

Jascat,

While it appears that everything is working for you now, I noticed that there is no mention of the T/C being replaced.

I have had several engines come in for service with this similar issue and it turned out it was a intermitent T/C.

These engines would run for up to several minutes then shutdown. When trending this condition its was noted that the shutdowns happened at near the same time into the flight, this would almost always rule out a pump.

Just food for thought should you continue to experiance the problem. IF you have a GASPAR ecu, you can download the last 50 minutes on your PC and possibly locate the issue.

Good luck,
