Thank you Anton!
Can't wait to get it here and open the box
I have a P160 SX waiting anciously to get out of it's box. Almost like I am hoping for some rain so I can stay inside and work on the Hawk

Just an update on my Hawk 100. After a few little snags on the first flight I now have the 100 flying really well and reliably.
I know I am biased, but to me this really is the best ARF hawk that money can buy. The amount of people that came up to me yesterday asking if it was my old Airworld or Skygate Hawk was testimony to how good the model looks, both in the air and on the ground.
A big thanks to Alex for his work building this hawk and his professionalism in working through the minor hick ups. As always my thanks to Loz ( Laurie Hughes ) for his stunning photography, and to Anton and the team at Skymaster for sticking to their guns and concentrating on making the best product possible, not the cheapest!
Regards Al

About the same really. The T1 that I had was faster as it had no drop tanks ( Well too fast for scale ) The 100 That I now have presents better in the sky ( Better colour scheme to see and has the missiles, and drop tanks) As well as being a little more solid in the roll. I have always said that the big drop tanks on a hawk when fitted are like fitting an aileron Gyro.
Issues that I had were mainly related to us trying to make the drop tanks drop able. Although one of my main gear got stuck as it was a little off set ( It needed a thin washer under the mounting screws nearest the fuselage to straighten it up) causing it to rub against the structure when retracted.
Also my airbrake cylinder needs replacing as it gets stuck.
Apart from that it was all pretty straight forward and any other Squawks have been addressed on this thread. Nothing major and certainly nothing that would stop me ordering another one of these the moment this one goes.

Anton this colour scheme looks awesome but why the badge under the cockpit that the full size doesn't have and also your cockpit framing isn't right, its missing the black, please don't give me a public lynching, think it looks fantastic, but so much work just to miss a few details seems a shame.

Mine finally arrived yesterday after being ash-stucked for some time
It was packed very well and arrived free of any damage from shipping as usual from SM. First impressions is that I am very impressed. Everytime a new SM plane arrives it seems like it's a step up in quality and finish from the previous one, and SM is IMO best in their class by far!
Paint and finish is very good, as vere the new and painted legs. Also ordered the underwing pylons (2 pairs) with drop tanks, missiles and the centerline tank that I may modify into a gun pod.
The smoke tank seemed to be missing, but otherwise everything looked to be there.
The newest generation Flugmodellbau lighting kit for the Hawk is in stock. Last week I got bags for wings and the flying surfaces from PullOver in Germany to protect it from day one. The 160 SX is in it's box on the shelf and the servos just came last week, so I got most of the stuff I need for build except time and motivation to stay inside and build.
The Hawk came a little later than planned, and after a long winter, the summer season is starting for full so not to keen to be stuck inside building, but will build a little now and then
Really looking forward to this one

Hi Guys
For anyone who's about to start building the large Hawk, I've written down all the modifications and issues I faced with my build. It's in PDF so if anyone wants a copy just email me at [email protected]. I've talked about the small issues I faced on this thread so there's nothing new in it, might save some time trawling through to find them though.
Cheers, Alex

Yes! The 100 flys better!
Why?? Well 1) it looks better
2) Its different to all the other hawks out there
3) ( most importantly ) I have one right now
