Hi all Hawk builders!
Got my new wing tube yesterday - thanks Anton and Your team for quick service!
Little curious though...the old one is 0.6mm outer wall with built in structure, weighing 216g.
The new one has 1mm wall thicknes with no internal structure, weight is 247g. Both cut to same lenght, of course.
So this is right and ok to go for the large Hawk?
Edit. My concern is becouse of the third attached image (by Anton in Viper thread) - which has the internal structure even in thicker walled tube. Viper is a little bit bigger, I know - but still[sm=confused.gif]
Just checking... And btw maiden is getting close - can't wait!!!

Hi Guys
I wasn't able to see it in person but did get sent a few pictures courtesy of Vic Blackwood. I've got a few snag's to sort out which should improve it's appearance. I'm told it was a dream to fly.....
A little damage to repair because one of the mains didn't extend on its first outing but nothing major.
Cheers, Alex

Was there with Ali and it did look and fly great.
Shame the retract lottery resulted in the minor knocks and scrapes - we thought we'd got away with it until further inspection [:@]

Hi Mark, You should of told me the grey looked naff........I think I'm going to blame you if you don't mind....
Gonna do a few other things that I didn't get time for before delivery and fix a few of those markings on the back end [&o] Must have been pissed when I put those on.......
Pleased with how it looks in the air though!

Well, maybe I'm a little more reserved when it comes to pointing faults in my mates models than a certain Mr Machinchy [8D]

Was that where it must have flown repeatedly through a chalk dust cloud

Staale,
Looks great. My son's date of birth has gone into production! Why? You ask?
Well, on my models I generally add a little personal touch that is lost on most people. On the Hawk the reg numbers were added to show 2509 on the fin and 05 on the fuse nose. My son's birthday is 25th Sep '05
When I designed my custom Jolly Rogers CARF Lightning scheme a few years back I used 'A' and 'J' on the fin for Angela and Jonathan so that makes me smile every time I see it after CARF chose to put it into production as it was!
Cheers

Hi, Staale
we just finish your Large Hawk...
Please remember the ejection decal on the canopy glass. It looks so naked without them...
Thanks!
The 2010 scheme also looks very good

Tailor Made do some.......I would happily pay for someone else to apply them though.
I do think they finish the Hawk off nicely.
