RE: Wroughton 2010
Hi Andy,
The funny thing is I was well pissed when I scraped the wing tip to the tutor as I haven't done that on one of the my own models for a long time so why why does it have to happen on the rare occasion I fly someone elses! But I felt a lot better when, Dave, only half an hour later, did the same thing on his Hawk as I thought 'Ah great I can take the piss out of Dave now as he is bound to mention it'.
As Dave mentioned it was one of these days where everyone seemed to be having issues. Even my trusty bandit which has been reliable(325 flights now) decided not to play ball and I had minor issue with the retract valve. In my case it was purely down to poor maintenance and a quick on field lubrication(ooeerr) had it sorted and I flew it again with no issues.
Yep get on with the hawk replacement and being a man of leisure there is no excuse no to have it done within the week.
Geoff.

RE: Wroughton 2010
We had a large turnout of jet flyers, yesterday, at Wroughton. Most of the Sussex based airline pilots showed plus Lewis, giving ten models present.Pilots were Andy Bascombe, GJC L39 and Skyray, Phil Mackie, BVM Bobcat, Myself, JL L39 and JL Mig 29, Nick Smith, Classic Bandit, Mark Woodland, BVM Bandit, Lewis, Elan, and Tony Stevens, Carf Flash. Tony only recently started flying jets having got his A and B certificate in the same day and straight on to his Flash like a veteran. All had many flights, without incident. Flying finished at 7pm and we all went to the local pub for a meal. Great day!!
ps: get well soon GW!!

Have you looked out the window? It's hammering it down up here in Cambridge and on one of the few days that I could have had a couple of hours flying.
Hope you have more luck where you are...

Hi Laurie, Yeah I know, had a text from Harry letting me know you had swapped to tomorrow. I am planning on flying my Hunter tomorrow to try the new legs.

Oh dear Geoff, thats me out of favour, I won't have a job to go to come the end of August, I'll just have to fly mid week as I won't be welcome at weekends

Hi guys
Had a good day Friday and again today, although technical issues are still frustrating the flying, solved problems yesterday which were causing flameouts on Friday and now have some sticky retracts, love these jets, even Geoff had a flameout on the Hunter so we are all buying foam shockies lol.

Yeah, had retract failure(my own fault) followed by a flameout all within about 5 seconds of each other so the last flight was a bit busy to say the least but got it down in one piece.
