Default EV5U setup?

I tried mine for the first time today and I'm a bit puzzled.

Settings are:
Brakes proport.
Mode 1
Gear (reverse), time 2.0
Door (normal), time 6.0

When I turn on the radio the valve tries to close the doors and then opens them back again, when I retract the gear it closes the door first then the gear.

When I connect the programmer to the unit I get a steady blue, it doesn't appear to blink.

Any idea what I might be missing in the setup?

Sverrir - can you try a quick test ... change the gear setting to NOT be reversed, and simply achieve your reversal by switching which airline you plug in to which port.

I seem to recall having all sorts of problems like this on my Jag initially, and IIRC it was that the unit does not properly handle gear reversal - gets confused about the start state, or something like that.

If that doesn't solve it, I will go hunting for the instructions that I wrote down while I was figuring the system out.

Selleri, The door up and door down label on the EV5U is backwards. Change these air lines and I bet yours will work just fine.
thanks

Put the gear back to normal on the valve, reversed it in the Tx, crossed the up/down lines for the doors and it works, good enough for me!

I'm trying to figure out how to program this valve with the card. It's written in german/ english. I want simply to have function gear up & doors close later in flight doors open (stay open) and gear down. Also program brake function program. Thanks much.

1. What you need to do is first plug a battery into the programing card, each time you make a selection a led will stay lit when you hit enter
2. press the enter button till you are in the mode selection section and select mode 1
3. press the enter button now set the function to gear
4. press the enter button and set v1
5. press enter and set valve to nor/on
6. press enter and use the arrow keys to set your delay (3 to 5 seconds has always worked)
7. plug you ev5u into the programming card and a blue light will start to blink 5 times indicating that you have a connection and it has completed uploading your perameters.

you are now done and can test the valve.
