Unfortunately the runway is north/south and we fly facing west. The sun usually gets you right about that time, so we go to dinner and enjoy the company.

HI Roy
Very sorry to hear about the passing of your father. Jean and I send our condolences to you and your family at this time.
Hope when we see you at Whidbey that it can be a time you can enjoy flying and leave the other news behind for a brief time.
See you in a few weeks
Alan

Hey Al / Bob...
Any chance we could open up 10 min in the schedule for a mass Habu launch...?

I will be attending Jets Over Whidbey, with my Reaction 54, and buddy box in hand. My buddy Ron Wallace will also be attending.
I've tried to attach the PDF file for the event.

Hi Kelly,
Since we limited the fan diameter to 100mm minimun for EDF models I don't want to shut things down for a mass Habu launch during event hours. However if you want to organize a mass Habu launch after hours you are welcome to do so.

Hi Bob,
Yes Bill will be at the field all day on Saturday. I have arranged for him to be ''Buddy Boxed'' a few times. Bill is also a modeler and flies IMAC so he is no stranger to RC. Saturday is shaping up to be a fun day!

2,300 miles from my house to Jeremy's shop in a little over 3 days on my motorcycle. But it was worth it for the Avalanche (gooey, huge, messy, outstanding hamburger) at Mike's in Abbotsford with Jeremy and Paul...especially since Paul bought! For that I'll ride down every week!
Next stop...Jets Over Whidbey!!!

Good time, working on photos after work today, here is a short sample vid from Roberto's jet, waiting on Sam to do the full version...
I had to dumb the vid down a little for the internet, and the cockpit canopy distorted the view a little, but still worked pretty well.

Dang, its a shame 3 days can go by so quickly...
Just wanted to say thanks to Al Watson, Bob Brusa, Tom Berry, and the other WIRCS volunteers for putting on a fantastic event once again. The venue was great as always, all be it a bit cold at times. The banquet is a really nice touch, and I appreciated the chance to address everyone as an invited speaker. It was a pretty unique opportunity, having so many AMA, JPO, and MAAC Jet committee members in one place. I was also quite humbled by fact that the other speaker was a retired rear admiral and ex-Blue angels #1 pilot! Great guy, sharing some very profound stories and lessons that I won't soon forget.
I have a totally new appreciation for the word 'trust' now.
Kelly
PS, Cool video John!

Great photos John. Thanks for posting.
I had a great time. It was good to see and fly with guys from all over the Pasific Northwest and California.

It was really great to see you and everyone else at Whidbey this year...GREAT EVENT!
After Whidbey, I rode down to Aurora Oregon and took a tour of the Van's Aircraft facility. I then rode to Seflyer's house to see how my Skymaster F-18 is coming along.
My motorcycle is safely tucked away in Reno now so I can visit the thing in the winter months when it isn't possible to ride in Alaska.
I'm hoping to attend a couple of jet events on the West Coast this year on the bike.
Outstanding job at Whidbey, Al & Bob!!!!
