Personally If I were him I would pay as if Joe C does persue this with the D.A and Dave does get another conviction he will most likely face life in prison. There was a landmark case in Texas in the mid 90's a man there upon his 3rd charge of passing a bad check was convicted for life with no chance of parole, this can also be looked up on the internet. Joe, I would take advantage of these individuals help that live in MN and file charges on Dave A.S.A.P , and let the ball roll where it decides to go. He has had ample opportunity to make this right and in my opinion he is no different than any other serial predator out there, same M.O. just different victims. |

I've previously learned that it's difficult to start a successful investigation by my local authorities by saying, "I know this guy in CA that is having a problem with a local resident". The complaint must be first-person rather than second-person or hearsay. The conversation really needs to start with your local authorities in CA. However, (and here's the good part) once you file your complaint, there are at least three MN residents that are ready, willing and able to put pressure on the local authorities to follow up swiftly on the complaint. We've read previous posts about law enforcement in other areas not willing to investigate complaints. It's easy for the authorities to add out-of-state letters and e-mail messages to the pile of corresponse that gets lost in the shuffle of their day-to-day local cases. BUT, it's a lot more difficult to ignore a local resident (who voted for them) sitting in their office asking some hard questions. It's time to start the ball rolling at your end and then to rely on three MN Pit Bulls to keep it rolling! Keep us informed on the thread so we'll know when to follow up locally. I can't wait to ask a few questions: "What's happening on this complaint? How many detectives have been assigned to investigate? When can we expect to hear that this guy is sweating it out under the bright lights in the Interrogation Room?" It's your ball, it's your court, we have strong jaws, and we're waiting for the command, "Sic Him!!" |

But the lock-ups are for the ones that do not live within the laws! What Shirley did to me is no better then someone stealing your car, using your credit cards after stealing them or anything like it! Maybe in someways worse when he took stuff sent and money after advertising he would do what was advertised for this amount of dollars and then not do anything but hide from you when you try and get your money and stuff back! What do you bet Shirley sold the stuff he stole from Joe as well!

Yeah, they rarely just come lock folks up for no reason...Even though there are many locked-up that would have you believe that. :D I wonder if the Cessna is still around or not too. Either way I'm sure Joe can find a model he would love to have if it ends up being money he gets back instead of the original plane, There are so many nice planes out these days I can't imagine any of us would have a problem finding a cool model! :D

Yes nobodys guilty in the pen these days! My ex girlfriend had worked at the pen for along time and thats all she heard! She had a couple of them she thought was telling the truth till I showed her a book that had come out that showed the worst of the worst crimes and these guys were in it! One of the crimes was so bad that to this day still bothers me to think about it! But he was not guilty according to him! As far as planes i want them all!

Then again placing that much trust in our judicial system is rather naive, don't you think? Unfortunately, my brother sits in jail for going on ten months for a crime that not only did he not commit, but that does not exist, on just the word of a psychopathic, vindictive, repeatedly proven liar.

Well, in some cases the folks would have to be really unlucky a bunch of times in a row......for a 20+ year stretches. I think were safe in assuming given he already gave one very large refund without even speaking up to attest his innocence....Maybe he's just a really nice guy who was trying to figure out what to do with all that burdensome cash?[8D]

Don't get me wrong, I am in no way defending this scumbag, just pointing out that our justice (I use this term very loosely) system is far from being even accurate, much less fair, or impartial. There have been plenty of cases where they executed people only to find out years later through D.N.A., and other methods that they sent an innocent person to death. It only takes one false murder conviction to get you death.

BTW, there are PLENTY of innocent and/or falsely accused people sitting in jail, but I think we've established to the satisfaction of most that Mr. Schwanz is not one of them! Bigplumbs, how can you agree with me, I never said anything like that. Just pointing out that not everyone in prison deserves to be there, probably 99.5% do but nothing is 100%. yes our justice system sucks, but it still the best in the world, as sad as that is. Sorry to have been part of the hijacking of this thread, from here on out I will remain on topic.
