sorry wasn't the competition nearly a year ago now , and hasn't this been discussed over and over and over.
yes we have not been at jet power or any other events as Phil has been extremely busy and it is pointless going without him as we could probably not answer relevant questions on the subject.

YES IT WAS NEARLY A YEAR AGO ITS STILL RELEVENT AS THE ENGINE IS STILL NOT RIGHT ONE YEAR ON. I'm just wondering why

If I have understood this thread correctly, Phil has sold Wasp engines promising a certain performance.
The fact that he has needed to redesign the combustion chamber and now the turbine wheel suggests that the engine is not up to spec. and there are laws about that.
I think Phil would be well advised to recall all the engines he has sold with full refunds before things get nasty and legal.

i'd love to see you (on your own) design, build relevent jigs, machine all parts, test, develop, redevelop then re-test not one but many different engines, and find the time to try and attend shows, meetings, over seas sales and setups........i think you'd struggle to get everything right first time.
please PLEASE give Phill a break Ant, he's a man one outfit, he knows his stuff, the wasp is only a small part of his outfit and he is working hard to get it completly right, plus waiting for the new turbines to arrive.
myself and phill came up with a mod the other week and he is currently testing it when he gets time and when he's not making other parts and other engines

Hi Guys
I've made and repaired enough( Name brands) engines now that only constructive criticism helps
and that two engines made the same do not exactly run the same.
I'll back a design that moves the development of R/C turbines forward which these days is hard to do

Paul,

Blaaaa Blaaaa Blaaaa This aint the school playground shouldn't we be acting like the adults we are ("on your own" don't make me laugh). This is a DISCUSSION about a CURRENTLY poor product which the designer released too early WHATS THE PROBLEM you obviously haven't recieved the emails and pms I have if you wish me to put them on here I will but I would rather leave them in my in box where they belong. I don't doubt Phil is an excellent engineer I HAVE NEVER QUESTIONED THAT AND WON'T he needs to pull his finger out thats all.

As for me running a business well I have been there done that when I was 18 I started a printing busniess with my father having to do everything coz he would rather be down the pub (still does 14 years later - but thats another story) now we are a thriving little business so don't question I don't know about that or don't know whats its like as i do. No I didn't get it right first time and still don't not many people do BUT I DIDN'T SEND THEM OUT I reprinted them.

Also the mods you mentioned please keep us and customers upto speed how they go - if they work will the engine be sorted ?? if so great.

Ant, Regarding your business can I have one of your 'been there done that' T shirts please? Maybe you should get some printed for all the other jet pilots? Cheers

Well as its the business I'm in no problem would you like a cap as well maybe also a jacket who will pick up the bill. blaa blaa blaa

Actually Thats a dam good idea as most jet pilots are self made men and fair play and my hats off to them I see a real market opportunity here.

Paul said he'd like to see me do it well I have and told it so I was thinking it wasn't rhetorical sorry

sorry, i didn't mean it to sound like 'threatening' i took jetmanjetmans 'handbangs at 9 paces' as a joke and light hearted fun.

Making money is making money and believe me printing is not as simple as some people think especially flexo (artwork, repro. films, plates set up cutting stripping rewinding glueing and folding etc etc etc it aint just pushing a button).

Sorry chaps should be talking about the wasp not flexo me side tracking again.

Paul,
I think most people may have read it the way me and jetman jetman read it fair enough I'll lighten up by not eating so many pies or Dicks bacon sandwiches at classic jets AND drinking less beer.

This thread is degenerating into a gossip column and a badly spelled one at that! Have you guys never heard of punctuation? I am not interested in any more gossip and slagging. I suggest this thread is closed until a revised Wasp, performing as originally advertised is available.

John if your not happy reading the thread then don't I'm sure no one is forcing you, gossip no more discussion and as for spelling etc who cares we are not at school!!

Closing it will only seem like the problems are being swept under the carpet. The best way to let this thread to disappear is on a high which is good results from wasps coming in surely. Stop trying to hide issues which are there.

Hi there guys. PLEASE PLAY NICE.

I agree that some of the posts in this thread are borderline but IMHO the thread as a whole is serving a useful purpose.

I will leave the thread open as a discussion thread on the Wasp as it is a current and ongoing issue.

Paul,

Superb

You definately stepped over the mark there as any self respecting cross dresser shaves then uses tape then you never have the jacob problem well I do it anyway.

Countdown until these posts are edited starting NOW.

I see Ant uses the same technique. For a glitzy disco look use gaffer tape.
