RE: Glascat
A week and no Bunny stories, no Heff stories, no Travolta stories, what happen Tracy,
you get lost? |
RE: Glascat
I guess now that the ad has been removed and everyone has seen it fly there is no more interest. I would think that once people have seen it fly that they would place some orders to help me get into production. As I believe I said before, once I get $1,500 I can get into a place and start producing two or three of them a week.
I did talk to Rob Hilburger yesterday and he said that Playboy probably doesn't want to put the money up for development, but if I can find investors then they will be interested in leasing, or purchasing three or four of the airplanes to fly around the country, and have a contest to win a ride in the Playboy Jet. He said their merchandise sales is really starting to go great, so things might change in the future, but for now we need to get it going with other money. A couple of hours later I went to Spokane and had a meeting with a guy named Klaus from the Delta Angel Investors Group and he said that he is sure that a few of them would be highly interested in dealing with Playboy, and that of course I would need a business plan and have all my ducks in a row, as far as cost to develop goes. So I am working on that now. I also talked to my contact at Vulcan Ventures and she said she would find out if the top guys have looked at my E-mail, with photos, yet and get back to me. I am still trying to get a business loan to get things going on the models, and all I would need is about $2,500 to get things established. And as soon as I can get a pro paint job on one of the display models of the StarJet I can call Ellen Travolta and show it to her, hopefully then she will forward it to John. I think if John Travolta and Tom Cruise were to see it they would want to get it developed. |
RE: Glascat
Hey,
I saw some guy selling a lot of prepeg and stuff from ID on ebay a few days ago. You may want to get with him and get some extra just in case your plans come to fruitation. Adil |
RE: Glascat
Why not ask that Delta Angel Investment Group guy Klaus (is his first name Santa?) to fund everything? He can get the elves started right away on it as they are not busy this time of year! ;)

Check [link=http://www.rcuniverse.com/market/item.cfm?itemId=162751]THIS[/link] out guys. Read the fine print. (No extra Woj canopy fibers, I love it!)

RE: Glascat
Maybe we should just leave the guy alone already? I mean, give him a chance. Some of the stuff here went way too far...his fault, mostly...but still...he's trying to DO something here, the ad seems to accurately reflect what he has to offer, so I would hate to see the constant torpedoing of everything he does. It's gotten pretty mean-sprited.
I'm not going to get into what Richard told me about the nature of the deal between he and Tracey, but when I found out the truth, I was a little aghast that someone who had not exacty been "ripped off", actually someone who was PAID, could attack someone so viciously. Lots of mean-spirited stuff amongst all the alien joshings here. Pretty dissapointing. Anyway...the guy actually has a product he's trying to sell, and I think he is trying to present it accurately, give the guy a chance. |
RE: Glascat
ET, What you need to do is go re-read all the post, and see, it gets "vicious" when, this person goes after me, for not doing my part of the deal. This said, you would do the same. I did not go after this person, b/c he was simply there. I did my end of our deal, but when this person says things that are clearly untrue, and is looking to ship someone an incomplete product, this is the MORAL thing to do. To inform people of what/who they are dealing with. Spend your money on the kit, and see how nice you are then??????? I guess the people that ordered kits eight years ago, should be nice too. (you know the guys that NEVER received complete products?) Hey look another Starjet, looks like there is two.
and they both bounce on landing!!!!!!! http://www.rcuniverse.com/forum/fb.asp?m=3812447 |
RE: Glascat
Whatever. You said your bit. Mean is mean. And in my eyes, this has gone on long enough...at least, the sabotage of his fairly self-sabotaging business attempts goes.
I could make a list of the major jet players who went bankrupt at one point or another...one who did it TWICE...and who did not pay off their debts at all. But I won't do that. At some point, you need to show a little forgiveness and give the guy his little chance. Not like he burned you in some way. You even got paid. So, okay, now you've warned the world. Can we move on? Me, I'm unsubscribing, just because it's not exactly jocular anymore, it's just mean. I am telling anybody to buy a Glascat? Hells, no. But I don't want to be a part of something that just involves nothing but squishing the meagre dreams of a guy who ain't got a bucket to whiz in, except for some molds of a potentially flyable airplane, and fridge full of prepreg to make one. Leave him be already. Over and out. I have an appointment with Rob Hilfinger at Playboy Enterprises, they want me to escort some Bunnies to Travolta's birthday party. |
RE: Glascat
Yeah, ET,
I got paid, if you think for one second it covered half my time, and what labor expense I had in it, and to return it, than you go with that. I guess you "never.......ever" got mean on RCU? Someone, comes after your credibility, and the RCU servers will smoke. Anyway, you call it what you want, the truth is what it is. I'll even do one better, I offered him 300.00 for his first sale, and I'll have woketman video it right at the hobby shop. and we'll post it, this is a good idea, he'll be on notice, everything had better be as listed. Now, I hope your happy. RN |

RE: Glascat
ORIGINAL: eletrick Yeah, ET, I got paid, if you think for one second it covered half my time, and what labor expense I had in it, and to return it, than you go with that. The thing is that if you would have made the necessary modifications, even putting a carbon fiber solid rod into the aluminum tube, and an additional dowel in the forward part of the wing, and at least flew the airplane at reduced speed to check out the flight characteristics, THEN make any structural change RECOMMENDATIONS, with Mark's help, for the next kit, which I would have sent you for free, then WE could have had a nice turbine product to sell to people and YOU would have made a cut from each kit sale, as factory reps. That was what I intended from the beginning. I am not blaming you, just that I don't think you worked with me like you could have. And $300 is a bit ridiculous. I would do it for $500, and I think someone else out there would be interested in the development deal, like I wanted to do with you in the first place, but now I am at the point that the only way I can get a small loan from a bank is to show that there are several people interested in taking a look at it at their local hobby shop, and might spend $749 on a kit. |
RE: Glascat
You can't build one kit to sell, but when this thing falls out the sky,
with my four-five grand in it, how are you going to repay me? You going to go knock on Heff's door and get a playboy loan? Or give me proceeds for a kit that ain't gonna sell, oh thats a great deal, for you maybe. My job, simply put was to modify the rear of the plane PERIOD. not to modify the entire plane. Even at a reduced speed, with no proven flights (the flying lawn mower video, was a better show than the video you sent Mark), its to risky, and until its proven, with a hot prop engine, shown in fast flight, with testing in more than figure 8's..... IE split s's, vertical climbs, stalls and safe returns, its worth 300.00, take it or leave it. |
RE: Glascat

RE: Glascat
You would probably have better luck showing it to Roger "Race" Bannon and Dr. Benton Quest. ;)
Which airplane are you talking about, the StarCat or the StarJet? |

RE: Glascat
Yeah yeah, Yawn Yawn Yawn.
$300.00, and if the kit is missing a bolt...nut.....screw...... (canopy, gear doors.... instructions......ect ect ect), the hobby shop will keep it for you. If its complete, it will be posted right here!
