Quickster asked me, in the SavageX forum, about what parts I used to put together the wing on my Hellfire. I thought some of you might be interested.
They are Mugen Seiki and OFNA
OFNA makes the wing I used but any 1/8 wing will work

Mugen Wing Stay # E0404
Wing Stay Brace E0405
The UK site shows them in their seperate packages. The US one shows them together. I had to make a "Plate*"for it to attach to but it was no big deal, The 2 top screws of the wing stay go through it, the other 2 wing stay screws go through the Hellfire's shock tower. I think Horizon Hobby has the parts too but they aren't online right now.

*Next weekend I'll take off the plastic plate I made and give it to my friend who moonlights at another friends machine shop and have him copy it on a metal piece.
OH, it's not crooked, its an opticial coolusziouion because my "plate is" LOL

Come on Ash, they are selling them for money so they can upgrade to the next Hellfire, version Hellfire 1.1, due out in 2007 or real soon now. And as you can guess, I don't really know but my answer sure sounded good.
And never end a sentence in a preposition "What are they selling the rollers for?". Bad English, but you knew that.

That's what I'M sayin'?!! What are they selling the rollers for? It seems to be common with Hellfires

looks like I need to get a new roll of low tack masking tape though. Didn't seal too well.

heh! Let me know how that rear steering works...... might be pretty spiff on the hellfire, but i also imagine it would allow one to flip the 'fire on a turn... right now it's next to impossible.
*i'm a dumbass*. I apparently somehow clicked on a rear steering link after loading your first link...

i think i remember a previous discussion on the hyper-valve, and its just a one-way check valve. and u can buy them at a fish tank store cheap (and not pay $24). works well, but not $24 well.

I have aquarium check valves and I thought of that. The thing that would stop me from using one of them is the question of if the plastic and/or the glue that holds the 2 halves together would hold up to the fuel. NO, I just looked at one of mine and there's no way I'd trust an aquarium check valve to hold up to the chemical content of the fuel or the pressure involved, no way....Whoever was discussing it wherever you saw it before apparently didn't have aquariums*. Doesn't matter, being the kind of guy that doesn't mind spending the extra buck to keep my piece of mind I'm going to get it anyway. But thanks for the heads up............
*Speaking of aquariums, they were my hobby before I got into RC. I still have them, just not into the corals anymore. I had people from all over the world in saltwater reef clubs comment on my site that my reef tank was the most beautiful they had ever seen(beaming with pride here). It was amazing that everything in there was alive, also amazing that the lighting alone was over $1000 and had to be replaced every 4 months even though it still "looked" good. LOL So now I spend that on RC stuff.........

Well I've got my 1st new page started for the new bigger website. I resized 23 pics to 800x600pxls and got the main page built with the thumbnails. All I have to do now is make the 23 pages with the explainations what the pics are, link them to the thumbs and upload them to the internet.
I give you the start of the Hellfire paint job page
http://www.75th-meu.com/HellfirePaintJob.htm
When I'm done each one of those thumbnails will take you to an almost page size pic with an explanation of what I did. Hopefully it might help give some confidence to some new painters out there.

OK, I've just spent oven an hour centering all the pictures & setting background and link colors on the pages for my Hellfire Paint Job "How To" section of my web site. After I did that I was going to go back and put in explainations of what I was doing in each of the pictures on all of the pages but since I got absolutely 0, none, no reaction to this post in any of the 3 forums I put it in, I'm not going to bother wasting my time. I guess everybody knows how to paint a clear lexan body.

The top speed isn't the point with truggys as much as the handling is. I have a few trucks and will have an x1 friday and I can't imagine anything being as nasty as the Hellfire.
