It provides the pressure to push fuel into the engine.

dave, try getting some wd40 and spray alot inside the exhaust, through the inlet and outlet, and the pressure fitting in the top of the pipe. kinda shake it around to break up all the residue inside.
you could have old gummed up fuel inside it blocking the return line keeping it from supplying good enough pressure to the tank. also, check and make sure your fuel tank is sealed tight. if you left fuel in it for a long time, it might have degraded the o-ring that seals the tank. I have noticed that with some of the HPI tanks, they have a problem with air leaks through the cap.
Might try a new glow plug too.

put a ballon or something similar across the opening and then close the cap on it. try starting it and see if it runs right. if it does, your cap is letting pressure in the tank escape.

Have you put the needles back to stock settings? In that 2 weeks there could be a bit of change in the weather which could make your tune off.

Daverallye
Here's a link on engine tuning I went through those pages and that helped me a lot. Engine problems can be hard to troubleshoot, you can have one or a combination of problems. When your new to nitro it can be a hard learning curve.
Good luck

It does'nt if you do not overtighten them and add some thread lock...so the Alum's are far superior to the plastic fantastic crap without a doubt.

Thats a wow add-on factor there BRO, just dump the Roto carb and the make sure its all roto start. the slide is far better although as said b$, not the ideal candidate for off road. But in saying that, I intend on getting my new engine without a roto carb and am going fro the slide version, some on this post also have a slide carb with their engine upgrade...personal pref..? But wow, nice engine there

AGAIN...does anyone have any info on the rubber boots for the cvd joints. Had a look on the web of course and found a no-name-brand but they do not look like they would fit or fabricate well to the intended join! Traxxis do some great ones but I am unsure as to whether or not they would fit the MT2...?

Thanks guys...and urm, being politically correct there maybe some gals on here so thanks too...but I doubt it. RC to girls is like painting nails for guys. Stereotyping yet perhaps true. My G/F hates[:@]RC with a passion...[X(]!

Anyone thought about putting the Traxxas 3.3 engine in the mt2? Or does it have the size of a big-block engine?

i've thought abou this, actually thought about putting the 2.5 on it. but never got around to it, plus my friend has the rustler which he wants to put the 3.3 in, and he says he's gonna blow my .18 tz-tx away in my mt 2.
:::edit:::
sim, my g/f seems to love my mt 2, especially after she hit a jump with it. i've been trying to make my mind up about the tz-tx or the cv-rx, but i want ballistic power, and chasing cars down my block will be even funnier when my neighbors see this orange blur flying down the street. you should see the looks on my neighbors faces. yesterday, this guy said all the people in the church across the street wanted to get out of their seats and see what was going on outside.

im not sure. but isn't the exhaust on the 2.5 on the left hand side? i just thought about that, i'd have to move the radio tray. shouldn't need a big block adaption i don't think, it's still a .15. im gonna check that out when i talk my friend and see how i can fit his 2.5 engine on my mt 2.
