I have been making my living for over 30 years working on motorcycles and doing machine work and enjoy this hobby, I glade to help. I just got done Friday showing a guy how to sealing an engine told him that one was free and the next one was on him. I am sure he will not have any problem with the next one doing it him self.

LRP .28 is a very good engine like all engines made by SH. Now on the spec 3 if you notice most are out of stock and have been for a while I have heard a roomer there was a problem with them but do not know this for fact. Then XTM 457 is the same thing as the LRP 28 spec 2. SH makes engines for quite a few different companies and for the most part are very good engines. I now a few years back SH had some problems but think most where fixed. Still wish I could fine out more about the spec 3 if there have been any problems with it.

Very nice and I am envious! I wish I had room to build a track. Our local track just closed and now I am going to have to drive 60 miles to race. There is talk about another one opening near by and I sure hope so as I am going through withdraws!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Is it like this? If so it is the same thing I use on my TZ but I have a pre filter on it to make it a true dual stage.
http://www2.towerhobbies.com/cgi-bin...?&I=LXFFA5&P=7

thats exactly it... yup... I like it... but I want to add a prefilter too...but i think that it would do just fine like that.... don't you think?

as for the suspension... I have a bunch of shock springs lying around, none are really stiff, but to add the second, either get another top holder and put it between the two springs... that would work... my shocks kinda seem to sag a little...

what shock oil would you reccomend? I have 20 and 40wt oils... lmk, cuz I want to get the suspension done today...

btw... for the linkage, I just used a really thick paper clip and it works great, you just straighten it out, and bent it where needed... it works great if you don't have a good linkage or as a quick or temporary fix...

DANG VERY NICE! I am talking to a guy that owns the local hobby shop. He is trying to put together a proposal for the city to build a race track then the racers entry money goes to the city to pay off what they front. I REALLY hope it works out. It won't start until the spring time but I'm in. Hopefully something works out.

Cluch stuff: HPI racing clutch or teflon shoes, and a racing clutchbell (vented and lighter)
Flywheel: either the lightweight one, or the stock one works for me...

If the shocks are longer when ever the truck jumps or gets light it will allow the A arms to go lower and that is when I am guessing the drive shafts pop out. Do they do it with the stock shocks? I am guessing they do not.

it should, I'm using my stock 13T on mine...you will need to upgrade and get different engine mounts, and beef up ur drives (metal final gears, and so on)

the lightweight flywheel varies....

Clutch shoes
http://www2.towerhobbies.com/cgi-bin...?&I=LXVK12&P=M

engine mounts (what I use)
http://www2.towerhobbies.com/cgi-bin...?&I=LXN373&P=M

racing clutch
http://www2.towerhobbies.com/cgi-bin...?&I=LXLW03&P=M

lightweight flywheel
http://www2.towerhobbies.com/cgi-bin...?&I=LXM759&P=7
http://www2.towerhobbies.com/cgi-bin...?&I=LXM760&P=7

if you are going pullstart, get the 40mm, nonpullstart 32mm

i'd also reccomend
the vented clutchbell

Excuse me I am sorry with all the people I try to help I sometimes get confused so sometimes you have to refresh my memory. Do you have dog bones or CVD or what? What did you change or when did the problem start or this a problem you always had?

Going with more teeth on the CB or less on the spur gears it up more top end and less low end. What engine are you putting it on? One tooth should not hurt anything.

Will the MT out run the Savage needless to say there are many variables in this question! On a track, both stock and or what. I do believe my Savage on a track would give most MT a run for there money and it has a stock engine but is by no means stock. Now if both the MT and Savage where stock the MT would kill it on the track as a stock Savage has so much ground clearance giving it a lot of roll. Just all depends but I would think both set up to the max for racing on an off road track it would be a good race. The biggest thing is the ability of the driver.
