no surprisingly not, i know acouple of people who do it and they havent had their ties melt

had a look at my mt2 and found out why it isnt going anywere i have shreaded the teeth of the spur gear. doohhh[][]

No I have them on my nitro engines that are not covered by the body.

be happy that you found the problem remember to mesh your gears correctly if you look on the hpi site it shows you the correct meshing. the t-15 is simple it just bolts straight on, but now you've got a team infinity with engine mounts you've got to adjust the c.b and spur gear mesh correctly over-wise they will strip

Here is my Hyper 8 with zip ties on the head. You can see it does not give absolute protection but does help. You have to keep replacing them as they will get snatched off.

Not at all - its a smart idea to have a failsafe. Its certainly not cool watching your truck zooming off at a million miles an hour and hitting a wall!

I have an Ofna failsafe in my MT2 and Savage - works brilliantly, small in size and easy to configure. Just place it between your throttle servo and your receiver.

The Firestorm looks to be RTR only, unless they come out with an SS version later on (like the MT2 18SS).
