does anybody know if a mt2ss with a 18cv-rx would be able to beat a stock savage ss k4.6

savage wins

that is like hpi best engine and it works great on the savage .mas torque and top end and upgradable to a 3 speed!

I reckon if properly tuned (LSN leaned out), the MT2 would be quicker off the mark and would pull better in the mid-range. But once 2nd gear kicks in, it would be history!

I've got an XSS (k4.6) - haven't yet dragged the MT2 but I think it would be reasonably close at the start!

I had a guy at the truck running a pimped out Mammoth ST truck with a xtm .28 in it and I could easily take him on the straights with my MT but he smacked me all around in the turns and jumps. My suspension was just not up to par. Off a dead stop I'd beat him.

It was made to take the place of sutures (stitches) during surgery. Not 100% sure this is true but a very good knowable friend of mine told me that some years ago. Just read the above post so I guess he was wrong. [X(]
46U I heard that also, it was used in one of the WW in the field to quickly fix up wounds and stop the bleeding. I don't know if that is true or not but I heard it from a couple of people that I would trust are knowledgeable on these types of things.

This thread moves too fast for me.

Nickrummy how did your girlfriends brother like the truck? It came out really nice I wish I was that kid 20 years ago.

I just finished organizing all my picture on my five PC's (over 20,000 in total) and discovered some RC pics I forgot about, check it out.

The sivler onraod car is a NTC3 (my first Nitro RC that start my nitro craze)

The Green one is my MT2 18SS with a OS .18CV-rx when it was new

The black one is a very moded MT1 with a OS .18CV-rx slide carb

And the one with out the body is a nicley done MT2 with an RB .21 bigblock conversion I won on Ebay for $180 with a JR FM radio, two $120 Airtronics Digital servos and many other extras.

joebaby, about the rc truck. man he FLIPPED!!! You should have seen his face when he opened. Man did he love that paint job. He didn't believe I painted it haha He said he kinda had the hint that he was getting somthing rc related because people have been hinting around to him to wait on buying anything. He drove my mini t about a month ago and had a blast with that so i think he was kind of thinking it would have to do with that. He definitely got surprised! I felt bad though because on christmas it rained so we couldn't really take it out and I have to work through the week and its dark when I get out. I want to take a whole day to go over things with him. I give him about a month and i'm sure he'll be teaching us driving techniques

rapsucks, I sent you a friend request on myspace. It looks like you are running proline moabs? they are some seriously tall tires! Do you have a lot of problems with high center of gravity? In the vid it looked like you flipped a few times pretty easily. It was hard to see what the terrain was really like. I seen construction site so I'm sure there probable dozer ruts everywhere huh? also, what gearing are you running? It seemed like it took a little bit to get up to speed unless you were just being easy on the throttle.

Is there such thing as a 2 speed transmission for the MT2? i just bought mine yesterday and have not even broken in the engine yet, but im reading reviews saying that any nitro vehicle with a 2 speed will work the MT2 over... so i was wondering if there was such an upgrade? Thanks.

yes u can put a hpi 2 speed tranny from the rs4 i think into the mt2..

several downs about it tho

for 1 it looses its housing so a pebble can easily ruine ur day
2 some 1 on this forum not too long ago said it didnt have a slipper so if u jumped it u strip gears very fast

yeah. the rs4 2speed kit fits into the mt2. but i would only recomend it if you like to run your mt2 on road. if you are the hardcore basher i wouldnt recomend it to you. you can jump with the 2speed but you would have to let the throttle off once you get air

1 more thing about ca glue tho very important to know!

if you have asthma and inhale the vapors it could trigger an attack i read that in the past it has caused asthma attacks
it also irritates the eyes as ive learned yesterday(also takes ur skin off ur fingerz too)

If you jump the MT2 with a 2 speed your spurs are going to look like this most of the time.

and whoever stated that anything with a 2 speed will spank the mt with a single speed lies. Here is a vid of me beating my brothers Mammoth ST with a 24.7 motor and 2 speed with my MT1 with OS CV-R and 2WD so I couldn't even get on it as hard as I could have. He might have beat me if we had a longer straight to run.
