Well I got my diff all back together, haven't run the truck yet though. Hopefully get a chance this evening! I've been looking locally for a new body for the MT2 but I can not find any that will fit. I have found a firestorm body but I'm not sure if this will fit. Anyone tried this?

My firestorm body turned up today. Got it all trimmed and mounted. It fits quite well although it is not quite as wide as the original MT2 body. Just need to work out a colour scheme then I'll have a go at painting my first body. Will post some pics soon!

Looking good. How does the truck handle with those wheels?

They are great on pavement, grass and hard packed dirt. Not so good on loose dirt or gravel. I only bash with this truck so its not such a big deal.

Painted the new body today. This is my first attempt at painting RC car bodies. It has turned out ok I think, there are few few bleed out marks where I haven't seated the masking tape properly but other than that I'm pretty happy with it. Just need to add some decal and it ready to go.

I finished off the body today with the addition of a few decals. Just need to cut a hole in the windscreen for access to the fuel tank and some extra cooling air.

Looks great Rusty!!! I like the scheme and that's pretty good for a first job. I've painted several and they're nowhere as clean...

I just got myCastle 1410 into my brushless MT2 today and got a couple runs in in front of my house this afternoon, the thing is an absolute missile on 3S!! I can't wait to get it out to my favorite loading dock bashing spot tomorrow morning for some pavement bashing (mine is all set up for on road use).

Is that the stock (nitro) spur gear and slipper clutch or did you use another setup? Very interesting project, I'd like to go electric as the nitro noise anoys the neighbours would also allow me to play while my daughter is having a sleep.

Yup, it's a stock center drive setup. I used the GOM aluminum gear holder, and drilled and tapped some holes to screw a piece of a Duratrax motor mount that I found in the blowout bin at my LHS, and I used a little piece of angled aluminum to support it. I used Jato turnbuckles for the front support and a piece of flat aluminum for the rear support. The whole project was actually pretty easy and I LOVE this car, it is so much fun to drive and no more mess to clean up. I have been a nitro junkie for so long but I must admit that I really like the brushless more and more.

Nice vid! It is still very quick on 2s. Have you run it on 3s?

Yup, it's a rocket on 3S and the motor and ESC still stay cool, never saw over 120 on the motor or 110 on the ESC. I want to go bigger on the pinion and/orsome bigger Jacos for it (like the ones I run on my Jato) for some more top end.

Here's a 3S vid.  I'm gonna strap my GPS in it today and see how fast it is going.  I'm debating on trying a 4S setup for one pass but don't want to fry another motor.  I have cooked to MMP's, one Novak and one Tekin motor in this car already and it runs so good now I'd hate to kill it.
