I've owned mine since yesterday and this is my first truck. It is real easy to fire up and tune. Just follow the break in directions and you are set. I crashed into a car tire and this thing survived without breaking anything. Thumbs up [sm=thumbup.gif] for a great truck.

Mine just came in today
Already have ran 3 tanks through it, still breaking it in but I can tell it's a beast. I was surprised how well the engine behaved, starting easily and easy to tune. I will have pictures soon.

my X-C is awesome, but i got a new .18 for it and there is something wrong with it. i broke my last one in with no problems but this one was being a pain. all throughout break in and after, my temps never got high or normal. and fuel would come out of my pipe even after break in. i leaned the HSN, and leaned it, and leaned it. but it wouldnt stop coming out. i was also monitoring temps and the head never got hot. i dont have a temp gun but i did the spit test and it wouldnt even burn at all, i could even hold my finger on there for a long time and it woulnt burn. i finally got most of the fuel to stop coming out of the pipe but i went to check my temp this time and same thing, it was slihtly hot, but still, spit wouldnt burn both on top of the head and near the glo plug. but some rolled off onto the exhaust header and ouch! it sizzled right off!. soo i shut the engine down, waited for it to cool, and looked at the inside. i fried my piston. why was the engine getting hot enough to fry my piston but my coolinh head wasnt getting that hot? the coolinh head temps were under 200 degrees F id say.. ohh and this is the XTM .18 engine. anyone know what happened??
thanks

did you check to make sure that everything was on there secure? It doesn't make any sence that the pipe would be so hot but not the cooling head.
Either way, I'm so excited, I should have my x-cellerator by next weekend! (it's my 1st car, other then me driving my dad's t-maxx around.

Was the head bolted down properly? To dissispate the heat. Also, perhaps a carb problem, with the way it kept running too rich.

Heya people, Im new to these forum things but hey
I brought an XTM x-cell and During the break in the pull start is VERY tight,, The previous owner only used 1/4 of a tank of fuel then sold it, but the pull start snapped for him aswell, the engine is not flooded and everything looks to be as it should be after run oil has been used but it is still really tight and i think the cord may snap again, any reason why?

its cause its a new engine and the piston and sleeve are very tight, but it will loosen up as you use the engine more, my advice is get rid of the pull start and put a savage roto start system on it, itll be alot easier to prime and start.
