ict the evader actually takes some design things from the xxx-nt and some from the rc10gt it is like a mix of the two

The Evader is WEAK!! My mates got one and he can't stop breaking it!! He dosn't even bash hard (Dosn't do jumps etc). The GT would KILL the evader in every way, expect for speed of corse. Get a GT, you'll be much happier.

eh.. ill have to disagree
the Evader was my first and only nitro car (as of now... i also have an electric traxxas stampede), so keep in mind ive never driven an rc10gt, but id like to say that im about as happy with my evader as one can be. A lot of what people complain about is easily fixable and after some tuning practice, it will be easy to start. Ive fixed the o-ring on my fuel tank, replaced the diff gear with alum+carbide, and bought a better glow starter. Now the car is unbelievable. Ive never broken a single part, other than the diff gear (my fault... it was my first ball diff and it was way too tight). My evader skidded off the road, flew off the shoulder, plumeted about 8 feet, and hit a tree. No damage. Im impressed. lol.... im sure amsterdam will disagree though...ahaha
If i had to decide again, im not sure if id go with an evader.
Its a great car
beastly engine, CVD's, nice chassis, bulletproof design (i dont care what others say about this... just dont abuse it cause its cheap)
but it has some flaws
plastic diff, iffy fuel tank, stock glow starter is bad
if it can fall 8 feet, hit a tree, and not break (which ive done) ... id say it durable
If you can chase squirrels with it (which ive done)... id say its fast
I vote evader.

o yea, the most important thing. id say for the price and user friendly-ness. the evader. the rc10gt is a great model, but if your new to building ect. the evader is way easier. my friend though he knew alot about r/c and then he tried to build his rc10gt. well the throttle stuck open and the spur gear shot out and almost killed him<--no joke. well hope that helps.

Where I live it never gets cold. Its always around 30-40C. The GT is much easier to work on AND build. Your friend probably didn't put thredlock on the spur gear screws. The same thing will happen to the Evader if you don't.
