It will start fine only if I add fuel down the carb. There is no fuel going to the carb. There seems to be more fuel going to the pipe then thru the fuel line. What's up wit dat. It's not mine but is like new. Carb set to stock specs,so I can start over. All fuel lines changed. The tank has no leaks. I just can't figure it out and need some HELP
. It's all stock, even the engine and like I said, it's like new. Any help at all would be great. Just need some more place's to look. There is no air leaks that I can find. Thanks

If it's the old style tank, you m ight wanna change over to the newer style tank. Might wanna go with longer line from tank to pipe as well. I had a the same problems with my gt as well, and it was a combination of the pipe I was using and having the older style fuel tank. Hope this helps

the lines are in a diff place.... I beleive (but I am not sure) that the fuel cap is 180deg turned... I DO know that the newer model's cap-seal will last longer...

on the newer tank, the pressure line that goes to the pipe comes from a nipple on the very top of the fuel tank. Seems to make a difference for fuel foaming and pressure of the fuel going to the carb. There is a difference between the two.

I have an old tank, and Amsterdamn has a new tank, and they BOTH have the pressure tube through the top. The pickup line nipple is moved though... Also his cap is made to seal better.

On my older tank, both the pressure line, and the line to the carb where both lower down on the main body of the fuel tank. My new tank has the pressure line nipple right on the lid of the fuel tank. This is what I know.

Have you tried pulling the carb. off the manifold and removing the needles blow some carb. or nitro blast threw all the holes replace and try starting. Sounds more like a blockage in the carb. it's self. RED

Great! it's good that you found this, and that you did it on your own. This is a common early mistake to make, it happened to me and I'm sure many others too at one time or another, whether they wish to admit it or not.

Just letting you guys know I got it running. I did 2 things. 1- I moved the pressure fitting to just under the lid, didn't make much sence where it was. I also re-adjusted the carb. Now it starts and there's not much fuel going thru the pressure line. I think that was the big problem. Why did they put the pressure line on top of the tank, in the middle with a tube running to the bottom on the tank? I never seen one run that way. I just blocked that one off and drilled a small hole just under the lid on the side and put a small brass fitting there. Work's great and runs forever. Now I can give it back to the owner. Thanks for the help.
