Everytime i start up my rusty, the engine idles for a while then shuts off. IS it just tuning problems or coudl it be other problems w/ the carb or the engine.

try raising up your idle, and are you running it rich? if you are then lean it a little bit, or when you start it dont let it idle

I had that kind of thing when I tried running my truck (RC10GT) in the snow last week... It was really cold outside... I eventually gave up because it wouldn't start, however the next time I wanted to run it I ended up making the mixture much more rich -- worked great... The cold weather really makes a difference.

Now that I think about it though... that doesn't make much sense as you'd think the cold weather would keep the engine cooler meaning I could run with less fuel in the mixture.... Hmm.... [&:]

Cold air is more dense. If don't touch your needles and go from a warm/hot day to a cold day, your mixture will still be more lean.
