If it moved then its the clutch, if it just reved higher then check your clutch nut. Reving high as nothing to do with mesh.

I think i might make a new thread to tell anyone and everyone to e-mail rpm and tell them to make parts for the x-cellerator.

Global Hobby shops have a ton of upgrades for them and if you get into it there are quite a few that aren't even listed I have most of the upgrades for them [:-]

Works good for me too. Just want to bling it up a bit and make it stronger without adding weight.

I'd say drop by my shop I have a few parts for the XTM's or I can get them quick. In your case though you better pack a lunch or two

I am having a problem. My x-cellerator will start but the car won't go. When I give full throttle the car we only move slowly. If I hold the car in place on the ground and give it throttle, the spur doesn't turn but I can hear the engine rev up high like normal. It does look like that piece is spinning (flywheel?) that can be seen from underneath the car through that slit in the chasis. The diff is tightened all the way.

It happened after driving it around my backyard off of the porch and through the rough grass.
Could this be a problem with the clutch?

Have you removed the filter to check where your idle speed is set? How rich is the mixture?

Could be the glow plug [:'(] start there but it could have just gone out of adjustment. These vibrating little bombs do that some times [&:] another possibility is a presure leak in the fuel system. Perhaps the fuel lid seal or a small hole in a fuel line. [>:] just some stuff to start with

HOW DO I LOOSEN THE CLUTCH NUT TO REMOVE THE CLUTCH? WHEN I TRY TO LOOSEN IT, IT JUST TURNS THE ENGINE OVER IN A CLOCKWISE DIRECTION (SAME DIRECTION AS THE PULL START DOES). I TRIED HOLDING DOWN THE FLYWHEEL BUT THAT JUST SPINS TOO AND THE CLUTCH NUT DOESN'T LOOSEN.

You have to figure a way to hold the fly wheel without hurting it, the nut will come off [:@]

Facing the engine the nut should go counter clock wise [:-]

I HAVE BEEN HOLDING THE FLYWHEEL IN PLACE AND TRYING TO LOOSEN THE NUT BUT AS I TURN THE NUT COUNTERCLOCKWISE, THE NUT WILL TURN WHILE THE FLYWHEEL IS BEING HELD IN PLACE AND NOT MOVING

You need a piston holding tool to remove the nut.

Alright, I finally got around to looking at the x-cell today and now it won't start at all, And I have already done something with the clutch nut so it can't be bad. But it still won't start. Suggestion?
