I broke the axles because the part that connects the wheel to the axle is spining without the axle moving. I am look for strong new axles and new front shocks, I broke the shocks on the front and I might as well buy new ones. I am on a budget of 50 dollars.

I got the spring back in lol. I think god loves me. Looks like i have a spare pull start on the way. Anyways I did damage one of the ends of my throttle return spring and I think with the vibration of the engine it could come off but if it did i could just apply the brakes to return the servo to its idle position right?

allways use a throttle return spring! if your car looses signal it will run away. when they run away they allways seem to find a tree. if all it is your ends that are bad you could fix it up. just use needle nose pliers and bend hooks and reconnect.

The evaders axles are quite strong and from the sounds of your problem i think you just lost a drive pin which is a very easy fix.

i run no throttle return spring, the servo will set itself back to "0" when neither brakes nor throttle is applied however cookie monster is right, if i lose range im screwed. just seemed like the spring put tooo much stress on the servo

yeah that wreck i've cut up to use it for the pins that help drive the wheels. me and STPWNR did that once when we didn't want to spend another $20 on drive shafts only the pins. boy having a dremel sure does help
$20

fail safes are fof sissies or people who think this car needs one. its a 3 pound truck, if it hits someone it wont hurt to bad and if it hits a tree the parts are so cheap its allmost not even worth sending them back into dtx.

rediculous, what about the todler your truck runs into at WOT??? you've obviously never been hit by one of these at WOT, they do hurt.

a failsafe works when the buggy goes out of range, has low battery voltage or gets interferenc. a return spring works when you have a loss of power. i recomend both, not only to save spending money on parts that AREN'T on stress tech warranty, but also to save the hastle of having to wait for replacement parts and from getting a lawsuit from the person your truck hurts. be sensible.

i was talking about a steel clutch bell, not a spur & i didn't need to, the replacement duratrax ones are now made of hardened steel. i think the new evaders come stock with the hardened steel bells. if you mesh your gears right the plastic spur should be fine. i've only ever gone through 1 in the life of my evader.
