Losi XXX NT RTR sport 2
On the stock mach .15 engine it pushes fuel out of the top of the head but I can't tell that its coming out around the glow plug for sure, what would cause this?
It does it mostly when I'm trying to start the truck, if it starts, it doesn't seem to do it. It happens quickly so its not like its flooded so badly that it starts to do this, if that makes sense.
2nd, when the truck is running it doesn't freewheel enough at idle to let me sit it on the ground w/o it dying.
I checked the clutch spring it looks good but its not disengaging enough so it drives the rear wheels all the time.
Everything on the truck is set exactly as the manual calls for. Its been run about 5 tanks.
Thanks for the help in advance. I looked all through the xxx thread and picked up enough to fix my other issues but this is just plaguing me.

Sounds like a leak for sure. It could be the cooling head bolts have loosened. It could be the glow plug. Make sure that all surfaces are clean and mate well.
As for the wheels driving...It could be a bad clutch bell bearing. Or maybe the spring looks good but is weak.

Thanks for the input. i'll see if i can get a new spring at the LHS and go from there. the bearings seemed ok i'll try and find a way to clean/oil them that won't gunk up the clutch.
I checked the head but it was tight so i might pull it down and clean it up.
what do you guys suggest as a cleaner? brake cleaner was suggested but seems a little harsh.
i'm just dying to start modding this thing but i want to get it lined out 1st.

its prob just runnin rich-factory set it this way for break in. lean the top out just a little at a time. it will help you to get a temp gun so you dont get it too lean and hot. as for it wanting to keep moving its prob got the idle set too high. or the trim on the radio is high and the idle is low? so when you apply the brakes it dies. these are all easy to set w/ the linkage /radio . the factory doesnt usually have them set right. the fuel is common around the plug if it floods. take it out and turn it ove to get the fuel out then put it back in and make sure its tight. all of your problems are easy to fix and are just settings not mechanical.... you shouldnt have to buy anything.
