I have a rush evo with a t-15 engine in. when i try and start it the pull starter is very stiff. I took the glow plug off and pulled on the pull starter and tipped it upside down but only a few drops of petrol came out so it is still flooded! is there a different way of unflooding it or is it something else all together please help

yea you do not whant any petrol/gasoline is these Nitro modled engines. If it keeps flooding try replacing the glow plug cause a worn out glow plug won't ignite the fuel when weakend or damaged and it will cause the engine to continue flooding. If this doesn't help you may need to check your engine cause if an engine bering is worn out it will cause the crank to of center and make it hard for the starter or check the flywheel a bent flywheel would make it hard to pull the starter. try these I hope they help.

Well you say you pulled the pull start then turned it upside down , need to have it upside down while pulling the pullstart through a few times. You can check your glowplug by hooking your igniter up to it for a few secs and see if it gets hot. hope this helps.

yea as I said get a new glow plug try that first cause if the end insn't lit then it's junk and it will cause your truck to flood over and over again so do that first.

I dont think this snegine is flooded myself, ive seen the t15 break a few times, shattered cranks, and broken crank pins. theres no way its still hard to pull EVER with the glow plug out.

oh and also seeing as i have taken the engine apart i dont think it is flooded so it must mean that it is something else but i dont know what
could it possibly be a problem with the pull starter?

also before the glow plug igniter is put on it sounds ok if i pull on the pull starter. But when you put the glow plug igniter on thats when it goes all stiff and makes that funny sound.

sorry i didn read through the whle pst, either you have a bad batch of fuel...... verify it by spotting a buddy of yurs a tank in his ride......... OR you might have the low or high end needles valves too rich, or a bad plug, .............. usually when u have a bad plug it wont stay on with out a glow plug igniter or has a rough idle...... if u dont have a designated RC CAR glow plug, u can always get one from one of your model airplane engines, and it will work fine
also make sure all the parts on the carb are the way they are supposed t be, tight, centered.....etc

Can you move the flywheel freely through the first part of the stroke? i.e. put the piston at BDC and you should easily be able to move it up and down between where the pinch starts and BDC. If so, you are fine and that is normal. My RB V12 had such a tight pinch through the first gallon that I had to keep a screwdriver around to unstick the piston from TDC when starting (I had to pry the flyweel with a screwdriver to unstick the piston). It took several hours to get it to start the first time. Some engines just have too much pinch to start with, but those engines usually last the longest as well.
