warm it up with a hairdryer on high for a bit then prime enough or if you dont have a primer tank put finger over stinger and pull
if it is that hard to start there is something wrong
remember to charge your glowplug

ok, this saved me... do the hairdrier thing, then take off the glow plug, put a few drops of nitro fuel under the glow plug, replace the glow plug and try starting it, this will ignite the glow fuel hopefully bridging the gap from the fuel in the lines...also make sure to prime the engine so fuel gets in the carb.
do what rush said, put finger over exaust hole and pull starter a few times, you should be able to see fuel going up in to the engine. i had the same buggy and same problem so i know how you fell

I got it going again yesterday, until i hit a small pole in the lawn....... i broke both suspension arms on the left and pushed back the top plate a bit... this hobby could be more expensive than i thought. I am going making a front bumper for it, to prevent any more breakages. i have also built an offroad earth track so there wont be anything for it to hit there... im after buying asn electric starter also. i will have to wait until tuesday at least now to get parts coz i can only get them from the net.....[&o][&o]

ya unfortunatley because they break so easily, not alot of people buy em, so hobby stores dont wanna carry parts. sooo u have to special order them online and theyre awlays overpriced.

but b4 u get the electric starter try my nitro under the glow plug trick

If this is your First Nitro Truck, well then I would buy the electric start. I have forgot to prime my engine the second time i ran it, and well it was VERY hard to start it. I spent almost an hour foolin wit it, to find out by reading the manual i wasn't primeing it. My dad broke it in 4 me so I didn't even really know if you should prime it, or how to prime it. I would order from tower hobbies to get parts, as they ship international. I actullay have no Idea where this car is from, nor have I heard of the brand, and i think that tower may unfourtuneately not stock parts for it.

Ok that brand is Absolutely Pooehy, but you can still fix it!!!!! I know this brand, they sell it all over here In china. Unfourtuneately, This truck, well if it is made by Acme then well its no good. I have run the same truck, and to tell you the truth, it was a lemon. I was so frusterated with it because it would never start and well, that engine is made for less than 35 Euro's, and its pooehy. I had mine for mabey 4 weeks, I was so mad well I sold it. I bought a Jato and well, not one problem and i barely ever break anything. Don't Worry too much because you CAN fix it.

What I would do TO FIX IT:

1: I would buy some High Quality Glow Plugs and a High Quality Rechargeable Igniter, or at least a AA igniter with very nice Duracells or Engergizers

2: Make shure you are running Proper Fuel, I actullay order mine from Hong Kong, which used to be brittish, so they have Tornadao. Its great Fuel IMO and 5 litres will last you a while.

3: Electric Starts are GREAT for beginners. They are much easier than Pull starts, and I HIGHLY reccomend one.

4: Make A Bumper!!!! If that shock tower is metal, I would take a piece of metal, but out the front of your body and make that piece of metal bent like a bumper. This should put the impact into the Chassis, that is also made of aluminium, so you would be fine. You had a great Idea!!!!!

5: Also the engine because it is new, spary some WD-40 into the engine, or some after run, but WD-40 i think is better because it is combustible. This should free up the engine, and if you want, you can also put some nitro in. The reason why I think WD-40 is better for this process, is because nitro will slish and slied all over, while WD will actullay kind-of stay onto the piston and it should fire up. It also frees the engine up a bit, but it does help quite a bit to put nitro in the mix

Hope this helped

I got the electric starter on tuesday, only to find that my one-way bearing is 12mm and the case fits 14mm only. however i got a piece of brass, cut it into six small pieces and stuffed them in between the bearing and case. It worked perfectly!! Im still waiting on the suspension arms, ******** delivery seems to be very slow....[&o][&o][&o] I have made the bumper, its kinda mushroom shaped, il post a pic later. i must still mount it, using 3 m6 countersunk nuts to mount it under the chassis as the shock tower is plastic. Its made out of strong plastic....... Hpefully itl work.... I havent tried starting it since.........

Do they furnish a Vasoline with there prices m8? OMG do some looking around before you buy that roto start. HSP supplies that starter and you could get it cheaper with the cost of shipping direct from China man. The roto start will help you if your not familure with starting RC and if you could find a good bump box it would be even better [:-]

Rite, its all back together again but now it wont start........ there is oil or some kind of very dark greenish fluid coming out the starter case thats connected to the engine when i turn the engine with the electric starter........ is that right???? it also seems that not much fuel is reachinng the engine, even though it makes it to the carb......... i got a new glow plug to see if that would help abd all batteries are well charged....

all help much appreciated.....

Thanks

Sounds like you left fuel in the crank case and it turned to jello[&o] if thats the case you need to flush the whole fuel system and engine out[X(]

Take the engine backplate off and spray the engine out with brake cleaner or let is sit in brake cleaner to soften any gunk up.

the same thing happened to my TNX and now it wont shift at all. to get it started, take off the plug, put a few drops of fuel directly in the glow plug hole, reattach plug and start normally
that saves my butt in the cold alot
