ok im new to nitro cars. so i was planing on geting one and im always changing my mind about wich one i want so now i decided that i will spend 360 dollers or bellow on a nitro rc. im maneley just going to be driving around in a open area with it (asphalt) and sometimes i mite race with my friends or go ofroading so i wanted to know wats a good rc for 360 dolers or less. and one more question is thier alot of maintnence that you have to do to nitro cars???? thank you very much in advanced

Yes there is a lot of maitance and 360 will buy you a decent ST i think a hpi firestrom would fit the build you are looking for. Can drive off road and jump and do and drive on road also.

Nitro and alot of maintance go together. You can go electric with a little less maintance but this is just a maintance heavy hobby. If you cant deal with that then its not for you.

I personally would not say nitro is a whole lot more maintenance then electric but yes there a little more but all so in my opinion more like one to one cars or trucks!

^^^ I agree the firestorm would be great for you. I just got one and it's my first nitro. They are not something you can just drive around and then forget about. They require paitence and time working on them. If you like working on things like me, then you shoud love a nitro car. Good luck and have fun.

rustler is also a good truck from what i hear. And you can parts for it at almost any hobby store. If there is a LHS near your house it would be good to go with somethign they carry parts for. Also if you are going to want a good realtionship with them (ie:free help) buy the truck from them. Sometimes hobby shops are less willing to help when you buy from somewhere eles.

Other than cleaning and after run oil in the engine...there isn't that much more mainenance then a high performance electric. Even electric can be a pain maint-wise if you push it hard all the time.
Think about it, if you drove a full size vehile as hard as you drive the r/c...you'd be replacing parts on it just as much. These cars are tough, but all the punishment and power will wear them down.

1/10. After running (or every hour of use), remove the air filter to clean in sink with soapy water / dry / reoil. Restart engine to burn out excess fuel, Remove glow plug and drop oil into engine there and the card inlet. Turn over engine a couple seconds to lube the inside (prevent rust), and you're done.
The fuel and exhaust leaves an oily residue all over the truck...so you'll have to wipe her down every now and then.
