Default Replacing EZ-Start

I am going to replace the TRX 3.3 EZ-start with a pull starter and i need to know if this is it? Here is the [link=http://www.rcplanet.com/Traxxas_Recoil_Starter_p/tra5170.htm]Link[/link]. And also, do you have to take out the engine to put this in or can you leave it in the car for installation?

Yes, that's it. Yes, that should be all you need. Yes, the engine will have to be removed to switch to a pull start.

Hope you know how to tune, otherwise you can expect some serious blisters between your fingers.

Be sure to carefully adjust the gear mesh between the clutch bell and spur gear when you reinstall the engine.

no u don't need to take the engine out u just unscrew the screw that holds on the exhaust in the front and twist the hole exhaust straight up and down an u might need to tack the back left tire off if u cant get the screw

What do you mean by tuning? Wouldnt it be the same as with the EZ start?

Have fun with all the nics and blisters your gonna get. Pull starts imo are only good if you no what you are doing tuning wise. If you just want the pull start for the loss of weight just get a bump box instead much easier to use imo.
