I am supposed to have my Infinity the Monday after Christmas. I already have an AXI 4130/20 and an 8s Tanic to install.
I had this motor in a Hanger 9 P51 with 24 GP3300's and it flew the 10 lbs quite well. With the lipos, I expect the infinity to weigh in around 8-8 1/2 lbs. If this motor isn't enough, I will probably try one of the larger 5300 series AXI's.
I will post as soon as I start on the plane.

Joe,
I am going to go with the 110. I have a 2m plane I am doing electric so I want this to be a glow plane. I was looking pretty hard at it in Chicago and I was impressed to say the least. These airplanes are superlight. A electric conversion would be great for this plane.

You might also take a look at the new NeuMotors. I just got one for my IMAC plane. www.flydma.com is the dealer for them. Pedro is using one in his Impact, thread here someplace.

I just picked up my Infinity 90, and it is really impressive! I have been working on another airplane, but I imagine it will be put aside for this one. The aircraft is very light, with the wood and build quality are outstanding. The belly pan is a single piece running from the wing trailing edge to the spinner. This will be nice with the one-piece wing. The wing comes as a single piece with the center section glassed. The upper cowling is fixed fibreglass. The covering is nicely applied, and the colors selected are awesome! It appears to have a good hardware package with MK style control horns.
tph1, a 2.5" standard spinner will work, but I may order the 2.5" FAI.
If you ordered one of these, you will not be disappointed! I did not receive the manual with the kit, but it is to be mailed out when it is ready. I may not be able to control myself until then.
Nice job Fliton!

Got mine today. Here are weights out of the box for those interested:
Fuse with rudder and canopy: 26.2 oz.
Wing: 22.2 oz.
Stab: 6.2 oz.
Wheelpants: 1.0 oz.
All included hardware including tank: 14.8 oz. (tank alone 3.2 oz.)
This plane is a marvel of engineering. The only part I feel could be made lighter is the rudder and stab. They are balsa covered foam. If built up, would be half the weight.
The wing is built up and fully sheeted.
The fuse is mostly balsa with ply only where required. The fuse sides are not light ply as I expected.
The belly pan, integrated cowl and the wheelpants are extremely light fiberglass.
It appear in my opinion, this plane was designed for electric from the outset.
I plan to electrify and with all the radio, motor, 8s2p Tanics and speed control, this thing only weighs 7.73 lbs.
I will post pictures in a while.

Oh, by the way, I need to thank Russ at Pattern Proz for letting me have the first one to come in. Based on what I have seen with this plane, they won't last long.
He also got a Quiet Storm for one of our friends at the same time and it is a work of art!

Jeff, a few buddies are really anxious to see a build thread going here. Do you think you can provide some pictures and a few tips along the way? I love what you have done so far with the pictures and thank you for it. Beautiful plane!

I would be glad to post pictures of the build.
I need to decide if my AXI 4130/20 on 8s2p will provide adequate power or if I need to step up a little with the motor.

I ran the first tank through a new YS 110 that is going on mine. If it comes in under 8# the 110 should be sweet on it. Anyone else have or plan to have this motor on theirs?

Tom,
My YS 1.10 was my first 4-stroke so I asked a lot of questions to all the Houston area
pattern flyers who have been flying YS engines for years and almost all of them said
the same thing , break it in flying on the airplane , don't run it much on the bench. Run
it rich for the first few tanks but break it in flying.
There is a lot of good YS information on Don Ramseys Barnstormers web site.
