Cant equate my photo to the plans, and the photo in post #5 is at a strange angle which doesn't help with comparisson. Could you please take a photo with the same orientation as my photo?

Cheers V. Looks like they're all the same :-)
I have to cut up my mount in order to fit the 120pro..... was planning to align the prop driver centrally, does anyone think this will be a problem??
Cheers

Even if i could make it to sandown, I'm not going to cart my Leo there lol. btw, sorted the tail wheel, no probs. infact, my installation of it is probably safer than the plans.

Ok. I've got the wing servos mounted and all the control rods in. Am now considering swapping all the control rods/horns for a high quality carbon set. Am not sure what to go for though. First time at carbon rods.
The tt120 slotted in quite nicely with only minor trimming of the engine mount. I have installed HS635mg's on ailerons, HS5645 digi on Elevator, HS625mg on rudder and Futaba 3001 on throttle. The 120 is going to fly this thing on idle!

Hey!
I've got a OS 91 FX which I consider using in a Leo 110. Would it be possible to use this engine in this plane?
I've seen pictures of the plane that confirms there is a quite a distance between the engine and the tuned pipe, would this cause a problem? (I've heard that 2C engines are more sensitive than 4C engines when it comes to this).
I further know I have to order a wrap around header for my engine in order to install it the plane. In addition to this I will order a Hattori 700 tuned pipe, and also a Perry pump since the fuel tank is located at the CG.

I agree. a 91fx should be fine.
Volkan, you may need a little more padding around the fuel tank if you want to avoid bubbles. Also, a note to all Leo builders, You will need to re-enforce the lite ply servo mounting tray as this will distort the moment the servo is under load. I glued and screwed 4mm ply underneith the existing servo tray. One other mod, if you wish to use the stock hardware (which is of good quality) you will need to strengthen the elevator pushrod connections. I zapped the pushrods into the dowl, heat shrinked it, zip tied it and added a layer of glass cloth around the connections. This ensures a slop free and very strong servo to control surface connection.

I have fitted foam underneath the tank,
the velcro is very strong.
I have also fitted the RX and servos:
I have covered one of the holes wiht 2/32" balsa,
but a small whole on it, stuck some velcro (self sticky)
on the RX and Blasa, and used a cable tie for
safety.

Hi
I am assembling a Leo, and find a problem with the front wing mount. The plan shows 2 sizes of plywood rings, but the kit and parts list only show the 3mm rings.
Did you get 2 sizes, or what was your fix???
Cheers Graham

I only had one size of rings in my kit. Didnt pay attention to the sizes on the plan. I glued the ones i had in centrally over the holes in the fuz for the locating Alu dowels.
On the main diagram they are shown as 3mm ply rings, on the close up diagram they are shown as 2mm ply rings and in the parts check list they are shown as 2mm ply rings. I only had one set, so it's possibly a typo.
What you putting upfront in your Leo?
Cheers, D

Hi, im building one of these too, can anyone identify the Exaust pipe shown in the picture on the box or in the manual???
Ive put a YS 120fz in mine and re-inforced the undercariage area and front bulkhead with carbon, also done away with the elevator pushrod and got my self a MK dual elevator crank with a 6mm carbon pushrod with Dubro heavy duty ball links.
If you are going to use a pipe check the diameter first, as theres not a lot of room under the belly pan.
Thats why im trying to find out what pipe they used!! and ive tried mailing them with no luck?
Thanks

Hi Jacey,
A few of the [link=http://www.westonuk.co.uk/genesis.html]Genesis pipes[/link] from Westonuk are similar to the one shown on the plan. I didn't worry too much about matching the pipe. I opted for a simple exhaust deflector on my 120's Weston pipe.

if that engine's fitted have you got the engine forwards enough so that it will engage the prop through the engine mount ring and the engine cowling?? if not you wont get the prop to engage.

Hi Dave,
Thanks for the message regarding the front wing mount. I had realised the typo after posting, but have glued the rings centrally, but have left the alu posts longer, & will put a doubler behind the main former as I feel the stresses may be too much for the very small contact area. I have gone mad & purchased a YS110 for the Leo, but got it thru a contact in the USA, an with the exchange rate, was only £173, inc delivery!!!!! I have also gone for 2 mini servo's for the elevators & 3mm carbon/aluminium push rods. Am hoping to have it complete & ready to fly this Sunday. She is looking very sweet, and will post some piccs of the mods etc when I have finished it
Regards

It is nice to see someone else has taken a chance on the Leo.
The latest problem that I have encountered is a junk port landing gear strut. The plane spent its entire life in a building cradle untill last weekend. What a surprise. The left wing tip rested on the ground.
Does anyone have a left strut that they don't need?
If I can figure out how to post pictures I will do so.
