I really think you need to post pictures. I need to see what it looks like before I head off to DC. Looks like Jan.

I'll take some pics this week.

It's ready to fly.....I need to cut out some monokote graphics for the top of the wings, but I'm going to fly it first.

Got the stab incidence set.....I need to get a longer incidence bar for the wings.

Test run the engine at the house.

All appears to be good.

Weight right now was 10.10 lbs

Orginal weight was 10.8lbs.....Not too bad

I still need to add graphics to the top of the wings and some more JR etc graphics on the wings also.

Things have moved real slow!!!!!!!!!!

I got the motor running in the last week and was waiting for time to maiden it.

I've also been working on my new eclipse and Su-26 (though not much).

I took it out to the field today to attempt the re-maiden. Couldn't get things to go well.

-first the motor bolts came out
-next the nose ring bolt came out
-couldn't get the low end to sit right.

took it home and checked the diaphram......it was a little gunked up, so I cleaned it.
gave a manual compression and splash fuel in my face......out of the head.

I took off the black top and low and behold the gasket on the top was mishapen......so I took the new gasket for my 140L and replaced it on the the 140fz......Hope to reattempt the maiden tomorrow.

What a wonderful day..........

First I try to start the plane.........not happening.

Then I realized that I may have put the diaphram cover on backwards.......What a pain to take the engine out of the plane at the field....but this plane was going to fly today if I had to hand launch it and glide it around.

Once that was put on correctly it started right up.......flew wonderful....you'd never known that it was a POS after the crash.

Knife edge needs some coupling, but other than that, just a few clicks of right trim and once I realign the elevators they won't need trim either. (trimming them actually put them straight)

Oh by the way.....its sunny/70/2mile breeze down the runway here in Vegas on Xmas Eve!

Good job on your rebuild. I am completing my Eclipse and have a question. It seems that there are no specs for incindence of the wings or stab in the instructions. I know the fuse sets the engine to 0.5 degree down thrust and 1.5 degree right thrust. Where is the zero degree thrust line referenced to? the canopy base? The plan calls for the CG to be on the tube, 30 - 35% MAC. What did you set yours to? I am using a OS 140RX, Hatori header and pipe.
