Hello guys,
sorry for the OT post, I have a question for the 9Z owners (and DSC users), many pattern flyers use it I think
With the DSC cable is possible to read receiver battery voltage within the 9Z. Ok, really nice feature!!!
Too bad this can be done only with the receiver turned off. Can it be done while moving servos? With the DSC package I received a strange wire, with two male futaba connectors at the ends: perhaps this can be used between the DSC plane plug and receiver in order to do what I want?
Thanks!

Yes, you can read receiver battery voltage when receiver in is on.
Just plug it directly in the DCS port of the receiver and it works.
So, do not use the charge jack but instead have another one connected directly to the receiver. This arrangement lets you read the voltage after the switch.
The twin male wire is needed to enable use of standard futaba charger and the above mentioned charge jack on the side of the plane.

Thank you ini!!!!!!!!!!!
So, if I understand correcly, I put the twin male wire into a free channel of the receiver and the other end into the DSC plug. So I can use switch without charge wire! Is this correct?

Yes, you´re right.
You take the DSC harness (as shown in the picture below) and connect the white wire to receiver DSC port and the other one with the aid of twin male wire to a free channel in the receiver.
I have done the same so that I took a spare extension cord and replaced the wires in the DSC harness with that. One wire to the DSC port and it works.
I do not use the DSC harness to charge the battery. I take the battery away during charging.
