Hello
Laurent Matysiak did first flights of Prestige on saturday.
He told me that it was awesome. Prestige is equiped with Yamada 160 DZ, propeller APC 16x12 and Cool Power 30 %.
No mix rudder /aileron , just a little mix rudder / elevator (4 % Futaba transmitter) for knife edge. He put inverse differential on ailerons 14 mm up and 16 mm down
as Wistmodel (Prestige builder) adviced him.
Incidence stab = 0, incidence wings = 0.5 deg.
Laurent is the guy with black glasses and his friend Dominique is carrying the plane.

Hello
Nice pictures !
Prestige was a little bit modified. Difference is new carbone fixed gear. It's a Bolly straight not curved gear.

Hi
Laurent Matysiak changed his reception NiCd battery by a lipo battery.
So his Prestige equiped with Yamada 160 DZ only weights 4470 g (9.855 lbs)

Hi
I'm very happy with my first Prestige, her flies very well and weight is light.
4600g OS 140 RX
So I ordered a new one which I'm going to receive end of month.

Hi Laurent

Your Prestige with Yamada 160 DZ weights 4470 g (9,855 lbs). You changed Yam by OS140RX and the weight is 4600 g 10,14 lbs). I thought that OS was lighter than Yam !

Beautiful. Are the ailerons and elevators really as small as they look? It would be great if we could get drawings like this of all the current competitive airplanes. Thanks for sharing this .

Hi Jim

It's just a drawing. Dimensions of ailerons and elevators are not the same in reality.
The weight is different between Prestige with Yam and Prestige with OS due to heavier OS réso, also ailerons servo he changed. He put S9150 instead of S9102.

Laurent

I noticed you used the Chip Hyde type ball bearing control horns. I'm setting up a Prestige and used the same control horns. I glued some small pieces of plastic splined control rods into the elevators and airlerons in order to attach the screws. How did you attach the control horns.

Thanks
John

hello John

The two screws in front of horn are fixed in the member.

The rear screw is glued into plywood 1 mm .
I did a slit by the side of elevator, put plywood and glued with epoxy.
