Do you really want retracts that badly?
Do you really want retracts that badly?

I haven't flown it yet but hope to soon...I missed some really great weather this previous week but I wasn't "ready" so I wasn't going to risk it...I flew some other planes during that nice weather and now feel comfortable enough to fly the BM once the weather clears again...

Dean, I agree about the retracts making the plane look cool
Petec, yes
Just thought I would post a couple of photos of my V2. I have all of the paint on. I will wet sand, apply graphics and clear coat tomorrow. I will start stuffing the equipment on Friday/Saturday and hopefull test fly on Sunday.

everybody likes the look of retracts. few, however, will go to the trouble. a lot of of classic pattern builders put retracts on everything.

Very nice looking airplane..I like your color choices and design...Very attractive!!
petec:
I don't see a link to e-mail you so I sent you a P.M.
I'd be interested in a set of cores if there is enough interest to warrant you setting up...

Thanks very much. I have used these same basic colors on most of my 2meter planes over the last four years. Same basic red and yellow but different shades of blue. They show up well except in very overcast skies so I may change the colors on the V3. I am also getting older and the eyes aren't what they used to be so I may use some combination of orange/white similar to Arch Stafford's V3
Thanks again

It Flies!!!
Successfully flew my V2 thia afternoon. winds were 15 to 20 mph (quartering). Plane flew well with the 140 DZ. Very happy with it although it was hard to do much trimming with the winds. Down lines were really nice and vertical. Stabs were at zero degrees with the wing at +0.5 degrees. Took two clicks of down and one of right. Have attached a photo of the plane with the graphics and clear cost.

Well, next week turned into next month...I have th efoam ordered from an actual manufacturer and will be picking it up the week of June 21st. Cores will be $60 for wings and $30 for stabs. I need to burn some foam to get the whole thing set up. I am planning on being able to have cores cutting after the NATS...gotta have my priorities.
