You have to call Central then the engines just came in last week. As in they just came in.....
the website is not always updated as quickly as the stock is...and for that matter not all of the products that Central carries is on the website. Some things are just no in high enough damand to have them on the website. Many specialty parts are availbale on request only.
As for all the engines being gone. Yes YS parts and Service has sold all the engines that came into the country. This means they sold them to the distributors. So that means folks like Central Hobbies has them. I spoke to Richard about this last week. He told me the shippment was all gone....and I asked where did it go....The answer was to distributors. This is typical YS parts and Service rarely has anything left over from an order. The top distributors take all they can get.
I don't know that there will be enough to go around...it will be a high demand engine especially in the beginning. They always are in high demand.
The best thing to do is to have gotten on the list....then when the engiens come in your name is on that list. Usually they fill the backorders and have some engines left over that were not on B/O however this volume of extra enignes gets quickly sold.

Hey Troy,
I'm glad you enjoyed yourself at the green sea contest and hope to see you back again sometime. I was at the NATS, but lost the rails on the hyde mount, the header broke in two places and that lead to some fire wall damage. Needless to say, I was a spectator for my first NATS as a first year FAI pilot.....Bummer!![&:]
I hope to do it again in 08 with a better out come,.. I hope![8D]
I Enjoyed watching you guys fly and made some new buddies!
Any opinion about the Osmose?

Hello,
is there anybody how has the weights of the Osmose ARF kit components (preferable from the standard version with the fiber fuselage) ?
I plan to build it as electric version, but havn't seen any weight's of the ARF version so far.
Thanks and kind regards,
Christian

Hello everybody!
My name is Marcelo Colombo, owner of Camodel, which is the manufacturer of the Osmose. Due to my lack of time I am not a regular visitor of the forum but was able to observe a growing interest in the technicalities of the construction of the model. Santiago is going to be, from now on, the link between all of you and the factory conveying the official word on matters of our mutual interest and trying to be of help solving minor issues, answering related questions, giving hints and tips, and, basically, trying that all of you could fully enjoy the pleasure of building and flying this beautiful machine.
Thank you all for your choice and support.

Hi,
Can you confirm that the wing locking nut is 1/4-20 thread ?
I would like to replace them with Nylon wing nuts for easier removal however i use metric and am unfamiliar with the US sizes.
thanks

I had the oportunity to visit the CAmodel factory in Argentina and met Marcelo and Juan Carlos for a factory tour and processes. I saw the two molds used to fabricate the fuselages of the Osmose and they are flawless and very smooth, the quality is high and the fuselages weighted to be approved, this is a large model and weight is critical if is to be under 5Kg.
All the parts are weighted and recorded by airplane serial number before leaving the factory, this is done as part of their quality control, so whatever kit you get they know the weights, the only problem is the conditions in wich the airplanes are stored by the dealer and how long it takes to get there from Argentina, we talked about the pictures we saw in a previous post and concluded it was most likely caused by the heat generated inside the container while traveling to it's destination, either way, Marcelo told me they warrant their products and if the dealer do not give a proper response then contact them directly.
Now that all the parts are bagged and a trip to USA being not that long, they should be fine, and quality as expected.
I also got my ARF Deluxe in Carbon/Kevlar, and the quality is outstanding, I just didn't take pictures of it yet.
Attached are pictures of the CAmodel depot and some of the fuselages before shipping.

My CG was originaly 1cm behind the wing tube, but the model tended to lift the nose on loop exits, so I moved the battery fwd of the fuel tank, I don't know your set up, but if you have one elevator servo under the rudder servo, tank on the CG, then put the battery just fwd of the tank, if you are using elevator servos in the stabs, then put the battery agains the firewall.
My plane balanced very well, just moving the battery, the CG should be at the wing tube or 1cm aft, depending on your flying stile, but it flies better for me on the wing tube.
Regards
