Aerofly Pro.
There are quite a few pattern plane models available and with a little experimenting you can set them up to fly pretty close to what ever you have. I fly an Osmose model and use the "grid" scenary for great practice particulary in winter.

I've owned RealFlight, AFPD, Reflex and Phoenix. (Don't ask me why I have had so many, just seemed to happen!) For my money Phoenix is the one I like the most for pattern type stuff. They have an Integral (which is what I fly) as well as other pattern type planes. The Integral is great although I would love an electric version on screen (not sure if I can change that).

I have reflex XTR and I fly INTEGRAL add on, I downloaded from somewhere. (try google).
for best practice, I use my multimedia projector with surround sound system!
I fly while standing in my normal flying stance.
Best pattern practice at home IMO!!

I wasted my money on RF 4.5,...don't waste your money if you want to fly any precission aerobatics on it. It does have great 3-D envelopes, but not what I was looking for.

I have AFPD and G4.5, both work very well for pattern practice, but I preffer the AFPD, I have not being able to make the Osmose to fly well, I have the Osmose Evo and had the original, and the models flies horrible on AFPD, so I fly an extra or the smaragd. On the other hand the G4.5 flying the Pinnacle has being great, but is not the best for the P or F11.

Where are you guys finding the pattern planes for RF 4.5? I have been flying either the big stuff or the new little electric pattern plane on there and they stink for pattern stuff.
Thanks,

It's not an option it's part of the scenary...a few lines to help with positioning and angles. Look in the database in the previous post, I think it's in there.

Alright,........I downloaded some planes for RF 4.5 and I cannot get them imported. Anyone have any suggestions as to what I an doing wrong? The Genesis import says I do not have the correct existing airframe,........???????? And none of the others will import either and the files are unzipped.
Sure it's a simple thing I am overlooking or maybe not?

I'm using AFP, not AFPD. It only has the Smaragd. I like the way the virtual Smaragd flies, but is it realistic? Since I haven't flown a real F3A plane, I couldn't tell how realistic the virtual Smaragd is.
