We are about 10 days out. I still need to get ideas of who is coming so we can get the dinner arrangements made for Saturday. You can email me, PM me, or just post your info here that you are coming and class, so I can do the pre-registration.

Based on D1 contest attendance to date, it wouldn't suprise me if D2'ers out number D1'ers. Still not sure I'll be there myself yet.

I'm having a hard time getting to contests this year, too. I unfortunately won't make this one but hopefully will get some in July and/or August.

GOOD LUCK D1!!! [&:]

I'm leaning toward this place for dinner Saturday. I still need to get a rough head count.

The Captains Table looks great. Two for dinner here!

Just a few more days left. Weather is looking good. It's going to be hot, but just a chance of thunderstorms Sunday, but that's typical this time of year. I still need to get ideas for anyone coming to dinner. I don't want to end up short.

The field will be open Friday, but it will not be open until after 1PM. That is about the earliest anyone can get out there and our grass cutters typically don't finish until around 11am on Fridays.

The weather is looking great for the weekend. With no sun issues and everyone going to dinner Saturday night I'm hoping to get wheels up somewhere around 9am on Saturday.

Should be a great contest.

See everyone Saturday.

Arch,

Wish I could make it, but I am over where it is HOT and sandy for a few months. Hope to catch up with you at a contest when I get back.

Archie,

I wish you guys the best....It looks great weatherwise.

So, how exactly will D1 compete against D2 in this meet? I would guess that you won't have more than a handful from D1, but could be wrong

I just wanted to say thank you to everyone who came down this weekend. The weather was great and we had 34, yes, 34 go to dinner Saturday night. Everyone kept the lines moving and we were able to finish 6 rounds by Sunday at 2:00. We had 28 pilots register, but a couple of small mishaps kept 2 guys from competing prior to the contest, so 26 competed. Results are below. District 2 dominated in numbers as well as classes. There were no D1 participants in the lower 3 classes. Everyone seemd to have a good time, so we'll do it again next year.

Sportsman
1. AJ Leroy
2. Rick Harn
3. Jerry Smith

Intermediate
1. Charles Simmons
2. Mark Carey
3. JR Varela

Advanced
1. Larry Kauffman
2. Joseph Szczur
3. Mike Doud

Masters. This was tight. George and I tied in the first round and then traded rounds each round after that. My lowest was a 994 and Georges was a 985, so it was really tight and made for a lot of fun.
1. George Asteris
2. Archie Stafford
3. Dale Arnold

FAI
1. Dave Lockhart
2. Don Szczur
3. Ken Velez

That's great Archie!

Looks like a great turn out and maybe it will be bigger next year!

Looks like I take leave in late Oct. for 16 days, so I may stop by and see you on the way home!

Congrats to everyone that participated!
