No, the Space City one in Katy, TXwill be the first one.

Unfortunately for D6, recent years circumstances have been hard on some of the longstanding traditions in the Texas/La pattern scene.

I really hope that the Temple cancellation is just an anomally and that they will return to the schedule next season.

I have heard for a couple of seasons now that there was going to be a resurrection of a Waco meet at a new location, but thus far it has not materialized. Maybe Todd can jump ina and provide an update.

As an unexpected bonus, these challenges have provided some new opportunities. The Space City Contest, Crosby contest, the Spring Crowley Contest, etc.. have been brought on to fill in some of the gaps and hopefully become part of the long term traditions.

Hi.  Im looking for pattern events in the State of Texas.  I flew pattern many years ago(when I was 11, 12, and 13) and went to the 86 NATS in Lake Charles Louisiana.  I currently have a Super Curare that has just been restored to her former glory after hanging on a wall for the last 18 years.  Still flies as well as I remember.  Have a Dirty Birdy as well and is probably one of my all time favorite airplanes.  Used one to compete in the novice catagory at age 11 and swept the state with it.  Would appreciate it if anybody could point me in the direction that I need to go.  Looked on the NSRCA website but didnt find much in Texas for 2010.  Thanks.</p>

Chuck has pasted contest info from the NSRCA calendar. Finding this information the first time is not necessarily intuitive.

If you go to www.nsrca.us there is a pull down tab at the top of the page for Calendar. The first selection on that menu is "Thyme Calendar". Select this one. http://nsrca.us/calendartop/calendar.html Once it opens up, it will automatically show the next few (10) contests for the entire USA. There are three small pull down menus in the right upper corner of this calendar window. The first is "calendar". If you pull that down (open) you can select District 6. This will now list the next 10 contests in District 6 only. You can also pull down the menu that says "List Size" and change it from 10 to 20. Now you will be sure to see all events within our district.

The space city contest is next weekend and should be an excellent event. It would be great to see you there.
