would you be willing to share how you hinged the surfaces?
Did you use flat hinges or hinge points? |

Hello Alex
Any informations about composite version of Vortex ? Claude RC Composit is working on a composite version of the Vortex, and i am working on designing the internal structure, jigs and fixtures, templates for the paintscheme, etc. that will help with the quick production of the model. The molds are completed and we will probably have the first test model finished in a short while. I will start a new thread on the composite model when it is ready for production. |

Claude RC Composit does a great job on the Vortex, the quality is great and weights are very good. The composite wings are very light (338g fully painted), which is almost as light as my balsa wings will be once covered with film. I received my test plane 2 weeks ago and started working on it slowly. I have very little time left for building these days and the space is limited for building in the new apartment, but i try to progress a little every day. |

Hello Alex
Which colors is your plane ? Claude My plane is the first one that came out of the mold, and it's just for testing purposes so it's in plain white color. The painted one will come later. |

[QUOTE=papaone;12698546]Hello
On Bondaero in UK coming soon in 2022 https://www.bondaero.co.uk/Vortex/p1..._21173245.aspx Claude Hi, I have a white Vortex on order with Bondaero that should be here soon, so would be very interested in the build thread |
Hello everyone, our cooperation with ADG aero failed, it deceives the buyers, it takes money from the buyers but it does not pay me for the production, therefore it will not work rc-composit with ADG aero. We are looking for a new partner to represent us in the USA
|
Hello Algis
Thanks for information. Is it possible to order directly in rc-composit to be delivery in Europe ? I don't see plane Vortex on your site. Claude |

They are two different things.
CK Aero is a well established business run by trustworthy people. |
Not CK aero - ADG aero that Matt Griffit......

Such small messages left a lot to the imagination and is easy to start even a war when unfairness is discussed . |
I pays to do research on the individual you want to do business with.

Composite Vortex
Hi, just finished spraying my colour scheme on my new Vortex composite airframe supplied by Bondaero here in the UK.
now I have to fit all the bits !!! https://cimg0.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.rcu...dda3f0cb50.jpg https://cimg2.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.rcu...d39585d5a1.jpg https://cimg3.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.rcu...d1fe97d5c7.jpg |
the plane will fit everything, even a bottle of beer ..... good work
|
Looks fantastic Joe!
Would you care to comment on the quality: pre-paint finish, fit, and alignment of the flight surfaces? |
Hi, the finish of this white version is really good, so much so that I decided to just spray the trim colours, and not spray a white base coat, so saving weight by not doing this.
Alignment of the wings and tail were good, but you have to fit the incidence adjusters yourself. There are not many accessories included, but a motor mount is included, but no wheels or linkages The UC legs are not pre drilled, so a template has to be made up to allign with the blind nuts in the mount. There is a paper tube fitted for the elevator servo wires In all I am quite impressed with it Buying the white version saves you around 700 dollars, so worth considering. Thanks Joe Wotton |
