ORIGINAL: Gringo Flyer

I ordered one with 7ch rx on Dec 13 and it's still on backorder. Looks like I might have missed the cut.
Don't feel bad Gringo, I'm Dec. 10th, and missed the cut too! BTW, I am a Gringo in El Paso...haha..!!

I ordered mine with a 9 ch rx on Nov 10th at my LHS. I called him today and he had it in today's shipment. I'll get it tomorrow. I'm happy.

Late X-mas.

I just had a look at the 7ch rx. Does the rx have "Low Battery Warning Basic Telemetry Function" like the 9ch? And if I would plug in two rx batteries, witch voltages would be shown in the tx, both, the lower or the higher voltage?

In the UK the 9ch rx is only £59.99. Pounds

The 6 7 and 9 channel all have the rx Telemetry function. How were you planning on running the two batteries?

Glad you guys are getting your systems. For one thing..........with you getting off back-order moves the rest of us forward.
I noticed just now........that Tower is showing Early March.....which they dropped down from Mid March.
That is a good sign.........they must be getting some significant quantities.
I would guess I might get a system by mid March.

The sea shipment of Aurora's is due later this week, so more will be in the pipeline shortly. All these will have the coupons included too, and as previously mentioned... as long as you get the coupon (no matter what the date) you get the deal. We're also expecting more radios next month, and they will include the coupons as well.

I'm happy to hear that many of you will be getting your radios shortly, and as indicated, the rest of you still waiting shouldn't have to suffer too much longer!

Hi
Mike I took this from another thread here in RCU , can you evaluate on this :

There will be a couple different packages, as well as all items individually, but the full version with Sensor Station, HPP-22 USB interface, (4) Temp, (2) RPM, Fuel, and GPS will be around $260.

Mike.

Michel
Hi

Mike

I.m interested in this question , and when will they be available ?

Got confirmation with UPS tracking number that my Aurora 9 w/ 7 channel receiver has shipped! My backorder date was 4 Dec. Using a Tower super saver coupon I got the radio for 339.99 w/ free shipping. I will use the receiver deal from Hitec to get two more 7 channel receivers for $40 so all told it will cost just shy of $380 to have a state of the art 2.4Ghz 9-channel rig for three models! Tell me where you can get a deal like that? Oh I'm a happy man! Best of luck and quick returns to all those waiting for their piece of modeling Nirvana!

...about the batteries:
http://www.rcgroups.com/forums/showp...postcount=1574

Thus, could I read the voltage of each batterie in the Tx or only the oback up battery plugged into SPC?

If I understand it correctly the SPC battery does only provide current to the Rx but not to the servos.

Furthermore, if I would use a dual battery setup, would the voltage warning go on even if only one of the batteries would drop under the set minimum voltage or after both reached this point?

At this time, there is provision for only two batteries to be displayed.
1. TXbattery, user selectable with apress of the icon, as either voltage or percentage.
2. Receiver battery display X 1.
a. If SPCis being used, then voltage at SPC port will be displayed.
b. If no SPC in use, then the standard receiver battery voltage will be displayed.
c. If no SPCin use and more than one battery connected to servo side of Optima receiver, then the highest voltage will be displayed. NB: refer
Optima RX - Multiple Batteries may be installed Dual batteries for redundancy or even one for each servo.

I would personally prefer the lowest voltage, but we have what we have...

Displaying the voltage of the battery with highest voltage is better because the system always draw from the source with highest potential. It is by law of physics that the system must finds it equilibrium. Therefore, the battery with the highest potential will always do the work while the lower one sits in idle - the higher one won't charge the lower one if both have the same number of cells.

Thank you for the information. It looks like that a dual batteries setup is better than the SPC backup anyway.

Mike,
Will you and or Hitec reps be offering the Aurora 9 at Toledo this year? I think it would be great for you to offer the bonus receiver package coupons also at Toledo. Any chance of the two things happening???

Perhaps just me but I appear to be losing something in the translation... Were the questions not already answered? e.g.
