sorry to break it to ya. but the smartech stock radio's are crappy at best. I have the commando and had lost control quite a few times because of the stock radio/recievers you will need to upgrade them. the engine starting is probably another issue will need more info.
ie carb settings.

well if u dont want to spend money on servos.....then i suggest making sure that u have NO cell phones within like 10 feet of ur rc car when ur using it becasue i did that once and someone called my cell phone when the car was right by me and then thing just took off from idle goin like 15!!!!!!!!!! also check for some metal on metal contact that u could prevent, and the antenna tubing that is still on the chasis put in fuel line to also prevent glitching! and about the engine, ull have to give us more info on that like ^^^^^^^said.

engine settings mean the CARBURATOR settings, there is usually idle needle, high speed needle, and low speed needle......check ur owners manual for factory settings and just drive around like that for a lil bit....and when u want more power then "lean" the high speed needle about 1/8-1/4 clockwise at a time(this obviously makes it leaner) and when u do this ur idle will be higher so "tune" down ur idle a lil bit if u need to but if it doesnt just take off by itself then ur aliright!

on the manual there are stuff about changing the settings like that to increase the RPM, havent touched it, i only touched the screw that adjusts the amount of fuel it lets in, i have now tried opening and closing it more etc to get it to start, NO JOY?
i noticed wen testing my glow plug that it didnt glow, it just sizzled for a while... could this be the problem, srri but im totally new an i gotta start somewere

by sizzled do u mean it kinda flashed on and off or did it "sizzle and have a lilttle smoke come out of it?" casue that is not an issue that means that there is still fuel on the plug.......yet again that might mean that u may be running a little bit rich........but i still say thats not a problem..........and when i said b4 that u have to adjust the needle that controsl the amount of fuel to the engine then sometimes u might have to adjust the idle speed a little bit.

no flash, no smoke, just a tiny sizzle which yes looks like fuel, and only sizzles for like a second
smeone said it should be glowing red hot, which it isnt, the manual also says if it doesnt glow the glow plug needs replaced
what ya think?

just got a new glow plug, need to charge up the starter, then ill test out and i will take it from there
EDIT
also, about the servos, i remember when modding my xbox with neons i covered the converter in tinfoil, then insulating tape, i done this around 4 times to stop interfernce with anything, would this work for the receiver box aswell?

You will need a glow-plug which is the correct temperature for the engine/fuel/conditions. If it is a smallblock (.12 or .15) go with a hot plug (OSA3 or OS3's are ideal), but if it is a big block (.18 upwards) you will need a medium or cold plug. Try an OS8, they are fantastic plugs.

Make sure that the glow-starter is charged fully before you try to start your car, it should make the plug glow bright orange/yellow.

What did it say on the packaging, and are there any numbers on the side of the plug? (they are usually etched into it)

i think the bar your talking about is the "idler bar" but im not positive. try leaning your needles an 1/8 turn at a time because from your vid and you saying your glowplug sizzles then glows it might be too rich. thats my .02

Make sure you can see fuel in the delivery line to your carby. You can have the best glow plug in the world and set your mixture screws till the cows come home but it aint going to do you any good if there is no fuel getting to the engine.
Put your thumb over the exhaust outlet and turn the engine over a good few times this builds a bit of pressure in the tank and fuel goes up to the carby. Yopu should be able to see it work it's way up.
If this still does not work then take out your glow plug and put a few drops of fuel straight into the cylinder, turn the engine over a couple of times, put the plug back in and try to start. If it fires, and it should, but then stops then you have a fuel delivery problem. Then open needle valve a 1/2 turn and try again.
Other things to look for.
Crap/build up in the needle seat (where fuel line attaches to carby)
Blocked fuel filter
Crap fuel.
Hope this helps Good luck

the servo is getting worse
now i cant even get it to start idle, it just glitchin all the time, i do not think its becus of a mobile phone or anything else, its clearly sometimes wrong with the actual servo OR receiver...
