Muddy you changed it to a single speed? I am also in prosses of making my dm-1 a twin I have the engines and all but I still am working out what I will do about the 2 speed. I really dont want to go single speed. so far I have losi 19/26 clutch bells and as far of the spur gears I have to see how I mount a 51t nylon ofna gear on the factory 2speed hub. and use the other 44t factory spur.

what's up pape,it's been a year since we spoke about the dm1.
yes i went with the single speed the 2speed was becoming a pain in tthe -,before i make a comment about the
nylon gear post a picture of the (gear both sides)and hub,if u use the 51t u will have to shimm the diff top plate that gear will
not clear the top diff plate,or u can use the center diff post from the ofna mutilator 1/7 but u will have to cut them down because they r 2 long when u cut them don't cut the bttm because if they r not cut straight the 2 diff mount's will not lineup like they
supposed 2 so cut from the top.

I know what your talking about I did notice the gear wont clear the top plate and I also have the taler post and a hole bunch of of other stuff to work with.

as for the 2 speed I am using the losi 19/26 bells. for the 2nd gear spur I am using the factory 44t spur. and for the 1st gear spur I got an ofna 51t nylon spur, but this spur does not mount on the 2speed hub because its made for the single speed center diff. the 51t spur has 4 mounting tabs with holes to screew ir onto a center diff. What I will do is mill the teeth of a 48t nylon spur (that mounts on the 2speed) and then mill the inside of the 51t nylon spur to fit it around the milled 48t spur. the finished product would be a nylon spur gear that fits the factory 2speed and has 51t.

Ill post some pics of this soon.

You should be ok but I ran mine with a RB C6 modded and the gearing was a tiny bit tall coming out of the hole. I think it is great for the race track with a .21 in it but it is a little sluggish down low for bashing and drifting. Keep in mind that I didnt use the pipe that I race off road with on the C6, I used a JP4 and was too lazy to experiment. I just put the .28 back in with the JP4 and was happy as can be. You may want pick up a set of 49/45 spur gears for the .21.

Just recieve my DM-1 rtr today...Woww!!! this car is realy big![X(] It's my first on road car, but for now here in Quebec, it's winter with lot of snow, so i'll try it only in 4 or 5 month[]
I,am little disapointed with somes parts of the RTR. First, the rear drive is dog bones, the frame is different from the pro and the chassis braces is weak plastic[:@]
I've the habit of buying Pro kit normaly, but this time the cash was on the low side and i've stop my choice on the RTR to not have to buy a new motor already.

And as i'am a airbrush painter, the boddies on the RTR is ever paint[&o]

So is somebody could tel me if i've to upgrade somethings on the RTR to be more reliable or i can run it like that and have fun??
And please, TELL ME WHERE I CAN FIND PARTS FOR THIS CAR!!!!!!!!![X(][X(][X(][X(]
I want a clear body, and the only place i've see it is on Nitrohouse and it's $67.00 US[X(]

Thank you!

The Kyosho GT2 bodies fit but you have to buy the clear ones and paint it up. The only other thing you may want to add is the aluminum braces. The est of the parts are top notch and as strong as you will ever need with an on-road car.

Super!!! I'll take a look at this.
And for the CNC brace and shock post, that's the two first upgrade that i've think to change.
But the frame on the RTR seem to be alot heavier than the Pro version, Right??
The pro seem to be thiner and have the edge a little binded for increase rigidity.

But i've take a look at A Main hobies and tower, and the only Inferno that i can find is the GT body, should absolutly take the GT"??

The IGT2 wheelbase is slightly shorter than the DM1 1/7 so it doesnt fit right.

THATS IS NOT A GT2 BODY THAT BMW IS FOR THE IGT NOT IGT2 THERE ARE ONLY TWO BODIES AT THIS TIME THE IGT2 BODY DOES FIT THE FRONT WHEELS LINE UP PERFECT BUT THE REAR WHEELS ARE SLIGHTLY OFF THATS WHY YOU HAVE TO BUY A CLEAR BODY TO CUT THE BACK WHEEL WELL OUT A LITTLE DIFFERENT

That's what I thought...you only have the Corvette and the Audi body for the GT2. If you want to sell the BMW body, shoot me a PM.

The best thing to do is to buy the thrue DM-1 clear body, because i'll never put a body on mine with the rear wheel offset of the hole, it dosn't look good[:'(]
