Ooook, carry on... interesting approach to pin stripping.
When its all finished Ace, you may need a new set of eyes to look it over just to make sure you haven't missed anything... you can pack the whole thing up and send it to me, I'll look things over and check all the details, and never get back to you
And btw, as long as you don't take things for granted and do a thorough pre-flight, that bird will be a "hand me down"

LOL! Many here wish! So far my anal side has taken pretty god care of the planes. This one for instance will see the field at least twice before becoming airborn. The first more of a show and tell, take it home and go over it. The second is to run it around a bit, lift the tail, bounce through the grass, take it home and go over it. The actual maiden only consist of doing circle's until trimmed, take it home and go over it. The next trip will be the ring it out day, well, as much as I ring it out anyway.

I hear ya. I got 8 flights now on my speedster and its still just a few circles then land and check it again. No more than 5 minute flights. Once there's actually no wind I'll try and trim it. And mine is nothing compared to yours.

I got to agree with ya both Robert, and Steve.
Very slowly work up. Just like is done in the full scale world. And then recheck everything.
To much time, work, and money on the line.

I took a little time to lay the eagle in place and take some measurements. It would appear the eagle will have no effect on painting the race stripes. So I think affixing the eagle will be the first task tomorrow, I am dying to see it on. Yes! You bet I will post as soon as it is on.

I can remember back in the old days of narrow band AM radios and even with 72mhz FM... when you got ready to make your flight, you had to go up and down the pit area calling out your frequency, and even check the restrooms, especially when doing your maiden flight... those were the good old days when you looked inside parked cars and trailers looking for anyone not paying attention.

And I don't miss those ole days one iota. Had some newbie turn on whilst I was in flight, twice. The second time I was not to polite, well, not polite at all and he never came back. Doofus!!!!

That's probably one of the reasons I got out some 30+ years ago. That and I got tired of the slimy mess. Oil under the covering and all. Then when I found out about electrics, I got back in. Then I found out about gassers! This is a great hobby now!

Ok fella's, here is the Eagle.
It was rather a PITA to apply with all the panel joints, cowl joint and compound curves. But I managed to get it in place reasonably well.

Thank you. Getting closer each day. Right now I'm trying to figure the best way to add the gold on the racing stripes. I am thinking of cutting some vinyl and striping it, just like I did that thing on the sides.
