Weather was crap here all weekend.I was hoping to get another flight on her and see if everything I did helped.
By the way ED, there is a pic of the 2 planes at www.rivercity flyers.com under pics.

Cute pix! Your club looks just like mine (buncha geezers sitting and talking
We don't have your heater nor paved parking nor clubhouse, though.
Your EAAs are both _much_ nicer than mine. I'm just a beginner builder (again) and am just pleased I didn't melt any holes in the Solartex !
I used "Antique" color on the whole plane except thebottom surfaces which got red.

Ed

Hi ED,
Thank you for your compliment. Yes i guess we are a bunch of old geezers here and we are from the old school. There are not many of us left.Between me and Rob there must be 50 years of modelling expierience. We enjoy when an old war bird gets flown properly.Any one can fly a hangar 9 modell. Some of the stuff we fly scares some people. Ohhhhh,......... that is heavy etc.So what we let our experience dictate how we fly.Yesour club is pretty good.Keep up the good work ED, hope to hear more from you.

I may have called you and your bunch old geezers, but we are older geezers!! LOL

Hi Ed,
Never offended............ i just had a chuckle here. You said our EAA"s look half decent, well i am going to tell you something.Robski has a nice looking pilot in his you know the one with the goggles and so on. Well in mine i have a dood in it he looks 2/3 gay even has a red tie on.(HE NEEDS TO GO.)Robski made a comment about my windshield looking dirty well i could not clean it so i replaced it only took 4hours a lot of starnge words and a trip to the hobby shop.Windshield looks great now i can see the wierd dood even better.Looking for a new pilot now............ HAVE  TO. He looks way to young to be a bi-plane pilot, i need an old looking geezer....LOL

Test hop's went great today! A bit of down thrust in the engine is the ticket. Still needs a bit of work but flew very cub like at 1/4 throttle.

Good for you!
Flew mine today and it still wants to go up - even with downthrust. I wish I had added upper ailerons: maybe faster servos will help the roll rate.
Hmmm, I just remembered I have an O.S. FS 120 sitting on the shelf.....

I only have 2 ailerons and i am verry happy the way it flies. Hmmmmm, i do remember i have a g35 in the basement.....LOL. I will leave my 91 fourstroke in it, could not ask for better performance. If you wishing for 4 ailerons and you are putting a 120 in it than you are going to fly it on the PROP.

OK Willi - I won't be changing anything, I was just blowing smoke
I have a smaller Pitts bipe with a Saito .65 that has out-of-sight vertical and 1/2 second rollrates. It gives me my speed fix when I need one.
I just wish my EAA could be a little faster entering a split-S.

Be nice ! I can not wait to ring her out with an OS 91. I do have 4 airlorons and all 4 have broke the covering at the inboard edge (old covering or stress, build, warpage, too much throw ?)
It depends onhow you want to fly Ed. I like 4. but that's me

Ed that sounds much more like you i think..........  get the speed fix  with something else. The pits sounds like the one, like i said , mine flies ever so gentle yet i can do what i ant with it. I dont look good flying fast.Have a great day...........

I like a 16x5 on my O.S. FS91 Surpass because it can really slow down for landings. Besides, the plane is so draggy, a fast prop will never unload.

14x6 here Ed, seems to run for 2 min. and then no more than a idle. Not getting hot but lack of fuel I think? Still flew great at idle even heavy.

That is a condition I've never encountered. Idle speed only after 2 minutes of normal? The only thing I can think of is servo travel. Maybe the servo quits working or something is limiting the servo travel or something is coming loose on the servo control rod. I would be interested to know what it is.

Hi Ed, I found a foreign piece of plastic in the fuel line between the tank and tee fitting. I have no idea as how it could have got in the line as it is a tight fit. After removing it ran and flew perfect . It is a first for me. SABOTAGE ?

Ski - '"foreign" matter in your fuel line?  I think that's sabotage by definition!

I think the most fun one is when there is crack in the silicone that is only visible when one stretches the line.  Now that's fun!
