Best scale photo!

RE: Best scale photo!
Much more enjoyable to watch and of course, I'm extra happy to see one of my models made the cut this time! And crashmaster, just so you know, there are 41 WWI models shown and 37 jets! I'd say that's at least 10 times the ratio of jets that actually exist out there in the world! Of course if we remove the DrIs, EIIIs and F-86s and F-15s that eliminates about half of each class immediately.

I'm feelin' ya Abu. No complaints here (except none of my shizzle made the cut [] ) Although Jorge Escalona's and Joe McBride's Yellow AC F/A-18 twins are in there, which both have my scale gear detail on them. So I got that goin' for me
And re: 10 X the ratio. I'm sure the ratio of jets to non-jets is far, far less than that, but jets are 10 X cooler, so it all equals out
Happy Thanksgiving kids. Even in these uncertain times, we've all got a lot to be thankful for!

I liked it a lot but (for me) it was a little too fast. Those were good pictures and a second or two longer would have given me a time to appreciate the model more.
However, I am 66 years old and life has slowed down for me. I like to take the time to smell the roses now.
Other than that, I think it was great.

Fantastic-looking model.
Unfortunately, as Uncle Joe indicated, you've missed the point of this thread.
The thread is "best scale photo"...not "best scale model".
You stated that you've waited a long time...therefore, we must assume you've followed the thread, which leads me to believe that you KNOW what this threads' all about.
So I, for one, am cornfused why we'd see a pic taken in the backyard?
This model is so nice that a pic of it on a simulated tarmac somewhere could be really spectacular.
Do that, then repost. Then wait for the accolades.
Good luck,
Paul

Here's a couple of photos of my recently completed A-10 Warthog taking to the California skies. It has a 10' wingspan, weighs 55lbs, powered by a pair of Jetcat 120's and guided by a JR 12x and 1221 Rx, . The first pic is by John Christensen at Fresno Jets. The second by David Searles out at Buttonwillow (near Bakersfield). Thanks guys for your great lensmanship!

I don't know I think the first shot is great. You could easily get the same shot on a full size depending how far you were from the plane and how close it was from the tower. Or at least I think so but again it is just my opinion.

Hello82
Guess I've been in this photography business too long and understand how a camera lens and prospective work . BTW the Ford flatbed truck in the weeds makes my point and sets the scale of the back round .

Hello Rich,
great model. I just wonder what they used those big black rods and the little black, protruding box underneath the top wing for - back in the first world war, that is...
