72 individual channels, multiplexed radio system,the 72 channel version has the quirk of having about a 60-40 split of proportional/switching channels due to todays limit of onboard transmitter functions. the 32 channel and actually a 36 channel if you count the primaries and is one hundred percent proportional full left/right throw, you wind up with primary channels and then secondary channels but everything is proprtional.

Well I would say, Design away...
If you can come up with a radio that would provide that many channels, and be ergonomically accessable for dual throttels, and dual joysticks and all the rest of the functions on 2.4ghz,..

I would certainly consider purchasing something competitive with the Spektrum DX7. [8D]

I asked Spektrum if I could get this unit with BOTH sticks self centering. Here is their response:

Hello and thank you for your question. Yes we can modify the sticks
on the DX6 radio to have both centering. There is no charge for doing
this, all you have to do is ask when you are ordering to have the radio

I NEED A WELL RESPECTED MEMBER OF RCUNIVERSE TO EVALUATE THE DESIGN AND REPORT HIS/HER FINDINGS TO THE GROUP AS TO THE LEGITIMACY OF THE DESIGN AND USE OF THE SYSTEM. I think Kmot mentioned that Futaba is also about to release a 2.4ghz system.
I think they are trademarked as FSST, so there will soon be more options out there.
Not as many "channels" as you are proposing, but 2.4ghz may eventually overtake
the FM frequencies the way FM ruled over the AM band.

as soon as i get confirmation from spektrum one way or another about some of the system logistics,,,,,,positive or negative ill be looking at those systems too.

Where can I find the Spectrum radio or any radio with dual throttle controls? I have searched and can not find it anywhere.

As you can see from the above posts, they are a few years old. Fast forward to today, not much has changed in the world of "spectacular" marine radios. Still, the only duel throttle marine radio offered is the Robbe F-14. I think the market is still holding its breathby the old promisesmade byother manufacturers to offer their own version.
